Go Ahead

Both of them focuses on family and friendship, both of them have 40 or more episodes.
A little reunion is one of my favourite dramas of 2019, it'll also make you cry just like go ahead.

-Same actress FL with similar characters in both dramas
-Both dramas start with the characters together during childhood and then continue later as adults when they establish the relationship.
-Both MLs have to leave the FL suddenly for a few years, and later suddenly return, to start a romantic relationship. (Sounds melodramatic ik, give it a chance xD)
-Very similar premise and themes, but overall, With You is more of a fluffy romance, and Go Ahead focuses much more on family themes.
-Complex characters with more realistic issues and plot complications. (both slightly have slice of life themes.)

- Similar settings and era
- Tightly knitted communities
- Gossipy neighbors but rally together in times of trouble
- Emotional life struggle for male leads because of deaths in family
- Inspiring and relatable characters

Both dramas have a single father working in the customer service sector with a strong daughter that create their own family which includes two boys, 1 orphaned the other & the other searching for a role model parental figure.

Zhang Jing Yi is the FL in both. The chemistry is natural. The relationship had depth. However, BEITD does not have a satisfactory ending.

See the shorts of this drama in YouTube to have some idea. Same female lead. And the plot and characterisation is good for a Rom-Com. I personal felt that I missed this drama for so long.

It might be because I just finished both of them around the same time but I often thought their similarities how both are struggle of youth and it is heart warming.

The struggles youth goes through, but Go Ahead deals with a more complex family structure, Record of Youth is a bit more light-hearted.

a story that goes from school to university to working life. each character matures and falls in love. figuring out who they are and what they what to do in life

Go ahead: siblings to lovers? Nah jk jk "adopted" siblings to best friends to lovers
The bickering, the feistiness is thereee
Love next door: it's like if FL of go ahead ended up with the second "adopted" sibling lol

Premise are similar with Fl lead and Ml lead, how the male lead is adopted into the female lead's family. Not real siblings.

- Childhood friends, close like family. Childhood sweethearts.
- ML intelligent. Kinda indifferent to others but fully attentive to our Fl.
- Friendship, cute bickering, deep relationships.
- ZS's mother is also in this drama.

This show is great, like super great. It has a unique plotline from other Cdramas and definitely worth watch. GO Ahead shows deep character growth, relationships, and personality development. The chemistry and kiss scenes in Go-Ahead is more mature since, after school, it focuses on their later life. However, this doesn't lessen their impact a bit. If you love Our secrets, I am sure you will love Go Ahead too.

Telling a story about found family. About brothers and sister that not related by blood.
Both are melodrama, will make you emotional. But healing at the end.
Youth story reminds me to early part of Go Ahead. It's also has slight romance.
