The acting of all the characters are very good and realistic. Great chemistry from seven tan and her two brother. Loves the ost and it fits well with every scene.
Great story line and it has wide range of emotions in a good way.
From this drama, the only thing that I hate is Ling Xiao's mother. She is just untolerable. She think that the world just evolve around her and everyone is talking bad about her. She doesn't really love Ling Xiao but just want to use him. But in the end she also come around, so thats end well.
Overall, its really worth it to watch Go ahead.

Go Ahead and watch it.
I really enjoyed this series from beginning to mostly the end. Not that I didn't like the end, it was just a little drawn out. I liked all the characters. Everyone thinks the Ling Dad is the stronger one because he is a police officer but he is continuously bullied by Li Dad. Their arguments are so funny. The plot was predictable but I still liked watching it.
I think Ling Xiao has PTSD from his sister's death and the subsequent imploding of his mother. I don't like the fact that it was never resolved and he sort of uses JianJian as a crutch or a lifesaver for when he goes through episodes.
I hated his mother from the very first episode and I hated her to the end. She was so selfish.

Lovely show, worth watching
This is probably the best C-drama I have seen so far. The story is touching and you can't help but love it. There were only a few aspects I disliked (spoilers)--- spoilers below --
I thought the could've done at least without the second brother forming a love triangle, since he really was adopted by her dad and really did grow up as her brother.
The secondary characters - the friends were kinda meh, and not very interesting or funny. They could've been a lot better.
Ling Xiao's mother story line was too long, too much and too annoying. She was the worst, and then it was resolved as if by magic. Bad writing there.
Ling Xiao's character as an adult was... kind of terrible? He was moody and depressed, and loved Jian Jian in a pretty unhealthy way. I also thought their relationship was pretty underdeveloped as adults and wish we'd spent some of the time that was wasted on his mom on this aspect instead.

A Wholesome Masterpiece
I came across this show while scrolling through Instagram and someone had shared several clips from this show. It appeared adorable, and because I can be fairly simple-minded, I saved it so I can watch it later when I was bored. So four days ago, I started this show because the series sounded interesting, it had high reviews, and plenty of praises from fellow viewers. Now before I continue, I just want to say that I've watched plenty of dramas before, and there were a handful of shows I've thoroughly enjoyed watching, but I never wrote reviews about them before because I felt there wasn't much of a point. However, for this show, I simply had to so I created this account to share my personal review. Now to begin, I am not an overly sensitive person. I don't often cry or tear up when watching shows, even if it is emotionally moving. But at the end of this show, I was legit crying. Tears dripping from both eyes for a little while and where I was sniffling and needed tissues kind of cry. I was also incredibly speechless as I tried to process the thought that the story was done and there were no more episodes.
Now onto the main review. While there are 40 episodes in this drama (from where I am anyway), never once did I feel like it was too long. I've tried watching other C-dramas in the past, but I only finished two (now three) out of the ones I've watched simply because of how perfectly executed and paced this story was. Not only was this show just so WHOLESOME, but it truly stamped a place in my heart about life and most importantly, family. Be it blood related family or family brought together by circumstance, it showed both sides of the story and how, no matter what happens, you always lean on family.
This show has everything from great casting and acting, excellent music, a well thought out plot, and beautiful storytelling. Not one thing was left unturned, in my opinion, and everything was resolved at a perfect pace. The cast had this undeniable chemistry with each other that I felt from my screen. It was so natural, so warm, and each character had their own story told to us viewers so you can come to an understanding about them. This drama showed me that humans are indeed flawed creatures. We are far from perfect, we jump to our own conclusions and handle situations in a way we think is best. We tend to hold in our problems or utilize it to hurt others or ourselves. However, there is room for forgiveness and redemption. We just have to want it and try to make a better life for ourselves. It is never too late to start.
If you guys are looking for a show that is realistic with the right amount of drama, comedy, grief, romance, and just wholesome content, look no further. I know my review is one out of many, but I hope this review can help spread the love of this show and how well done it is.
A huge round of applause to the directors, the writer/s, the cast, and everyone else involved in creating this masterpiece. It is truly one of my absolute favorite dramas ever, and I can definitely see myself rewatching it in the near future.

MUST WATCH!!!
So going into this drama, I was very very very skeptical. I don't usually watch this kind of drama but for some reason, It always popped up everywhere. I kept skipping it after reading the synopsis which was so plain:The story revolves around three troubled youths who find solace in their common experiences to become the best family that they can be for each other.
I mean, that's it ?! A story about three people who find solace in their common experience, but after actually seeing the cast, I quickly went to watch it, coz they are all some of my favorite Asian actors.
And to begin it, even the opening theme song sent chills all over my body and I could feel how heavily emotional this drama was going to be. This drama can be summarised into one phrase.
"A bunch of broken people puts together to create one big beautiful family."
THE REVIEW BEGINS...
This story was exceptional. It will always have a spot in my heart. Everything was phenomenal and I must say, I specifically bought a box of tissue just for it.
The acting was so good that I felt like I was that hidden family member who was invisible, but there.
When I say this drama was so emotional, I mean I could barely hold my tears in every episode. In most movies or dramas, Someone has to die or get sick or bullied or something drastic for you to cry, but in this drama, even just a simple smile would drown you in tears.
You don't even have to see it coming. One time they are laughing and making fun, the next second one of them says something and you just find tears rolling.
The way they are so broken makes even the simplest of things seem so heartwarming. Something as simple as buying her brothers a milkshake made me tear up with a smile or even calling each other for a meal.
Don't get me wrong, this is not going to be one purely sad captivating drama, the humor they have here is unmistakably one of the reasons they have such amazing chemistry. I find myself laughing with them. Crying with them. Getting angry with them, even feeling tired and exhausted of life's troubles with them.
But that's not all. The chemistry between them is super strong that the way they interact sometimes just makes you smile because it is those kinds of chemistry that you can see and feel and not because they said it in the synopsis or the poster.
Overall. This is a must-watch, for people from every walks of life, every gender, every age, and every preference of genre. Take your time and just watch it.

Wowed!
Not to be cliché but this drama really is a MUST WATCH! Thanks to the cast, director, writers and staff for this amazing drama. It’s the best Cdrama I’ve seen so far and I’m glad I watched it 😊😊 There are so many life lessons that I learned from watching tho I must say it did a number on me emotionally. Like I literally cried, laughed my a** off and expressed pure rage in some scenes (caused by the MOMS!!!!) Bruh at some point I was beginning to think the writer(s) had some mom issues because they “were” all sickos especially Ling Xiao’s mom. Gosh she’s a good actress! Legit made me so mad every time she appeared that I started dreading what kinda selfish evil nonsense she’ll do next! Now to talk about the LiLingHe family, omg I loved them all. So heartwarming and cute interactions especially between the 3 siblings 😍😍. Seven never disappoints, I wanna see more of Weilian and Steven improved so much(Ps watch Skate into Love 😊. Also I could watch Li Pa cook for days, like there was something about those scenes that were so satisfying
PS I hope I’m not the only one who legit loved Tang Can’s outfits!!

I wasn't sure what to expect watching this, I saw a few clips a couple months ago and added it to my watchlist, but I never got around to watch it. I saw the reviews on mydramalist and its literally the highest rated chinese drama I saw for romance, so I decided to give this a try. I thought this was just so amazing and indepth, usually I only watch these heavy dramas if they're Korean, it's my first to watch a modern drama that has this kuch conflict etc. But I enjoyed every bit of it, there was so much going on in te kids lives, I felt so heartbroken so many times, it's truly great that they has each other to to through or get over there traumas.
I also liked the different perspective and approach they took for this drama, some may say anti-feminist but that's not quite fair, many times I've seen so many single mother shows, movies around the world but you never really see single father shows, that's just as important or indepth like the latter. They truly did a great job portraying these things in this drama, it was a great experience watch this, seeing how the fathers were and how the moms were, moms make mistakes just as dads though sometimes and I loved the story about this one, it shoes you that it is possible to happen and how each mom resolve there issues with there kids or how the kids resolves the issues with the moms and some dads as well.
The romance stars halfway through, it's pretty sweet between the ML and FL. I wouldn't really say there is a love triangle, so don't worry about that. This was a great experience to watch, good life lessons and so on. I enjoyed it.
The reason I give 9.5/10 stars, was because there were a few things that I wish was a bit different, the way the romance started I wish they kinda took a different approach or different choices of words. Also I wish one of the mom had apologize to her child for a specific incident that they didn't not cause but was blamed for, it traumatized the child and though the mom apologized for many things. I wish that specific thing was addressed and discussed because it was the main root and cause of the broken relationship. Other than that, even though there wasn't a whole lot of romance, it's my first to truly enjoy such a drama like this.
Another things I loved is the FL, I watched this also mainly cause I just finish watching Under The Power and loved it, and loved the character and acting if the same FL, so I thought I had to really pick this up, she is an amazing actress, I love how she never ever comes across as annoying, I've seen so many chinese and other dramas and gosh the FL most are so annoying at some point. Her character in this isn't at all, and she doesn't chase the guy/guys, she's the one being persued I loved that.

Touching show
I put this show off for a long time and finally decided to watch it. It is a really touching, heartbreaking show.Storyline - well written and well acted. It was a hard one for me to watch because I really hated the mother and how she treated her son over the death of her child. How could she accuse him of killing his sister when she was the one who should have been there. I have a hard time understanding a parent who could do that and then place ALL the blame on a child. I loved how they all made a family because it is not always about blood. Family is who and what you make it and this drama shows that. I am glad that the mother finally realized what she was doing wrong and stopped. The son did not deserve the torment and emotional blackmail she held over him.
Cast - I have seen Tan Song Yun in several shows and she is a cute actress. She did a really great job in this drama. I have seen a few of the others in dramas. I thought they all did really well.
Rewatch - it might take me a while before I see it again. Sometime shows like this are hard for me to watch. I am not a sad show person and especially where a mother treats her child the way she does. My kids are my world and so I have a hard time understanding or watching mean evil parents. But I will watch it again just not sure when or how often. It is at least worth watching once!

Just a Beautiful Slice of Life....
Okay so I know this drama has been getting either 10/10 or pretty low scores. Now I personally agree more with the 10/10 than low scores because it definitely had a lot to it to love, but it just was not perfect. The beginning of the story was amazing I was so into their childhood and what would happen when they came back together after being separated. I was really just counting down the hours until the next ep was available. But at some point I kind of stopped and it seemed like just another drama I was watching. This is probably because of the ongoing drama between Ling Xiao and his mum that lasted way too long and caused a rushed ending. However, other than that I don't really have any complaints.
The beauty of this drama:
- the relationships, not just romantically but the parent-child relationships, the siblings, the friendships, even just that dental colleague knowing when to stay in her lane and not be annoying like characters in a lot of other dramas. I also like they show different kinds of relationship problems through the supporting characters as well like Tang Can and Ming Yue's situation
- character development: now the ending is sort of rushed with Chen Ting's development however I loved seeing Tang Can, LX's little sister, Ming Yue (though her character was slightly annoying in the beginning lmao), then of course Zi Qiu and Jian Jian. Ling Xiao kinda stayed the same for me though he just decided to open up a little more
- Actors: Can we just appreciate the dads for a second, those two were 10/10 I loved any scene with them. Of course Seven Tan, Steven Zhang and Song Wei Long are amazing. But even the support characters were a joy to watch, this cast was just so good I love them all. Yang Tong She (Chen Ting's actor) was amazing, she really managed to fire me up and her expressions were on point.
I really recommend this to anyone who enjoys family dramas, now that it's over it might be easy to binge, waiting may have made it seem like it dragged out however I still think this show was beautiful despite its imperfections.

MUST WATCH, SUCH A GOOD DRAMA
Ahhh, I have been watching dramas for years and I should have joined this site sooner. Anyways, whoever reads this review, HELLO! Nice to meet you, i'm Amy! :)SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW
This drama is a must watch! It is such a good drama about growing up and figuring yourself out. It tells the story about three siblings who are not related and they grow up and mature together! It is a really sweet drama and a very cute relationship between the main female, main male and second male lead. The three of them have a really cute and close relationship. Although at times you can't help but feel bad about the second male lead, it is a good thing. I feel like from the beginning of the drama til towards the middle, he couldn't differentiate the feeling of family love or actual love towards the main female lead. I feel like he's always wanted to actual be apart of the Li family that he thought he was in "love" with Li Jian Jian. He's always liked LJJ, but it has always been like the brother love, not the actually relationship love. But with Ling Xiao, you could tell that he has always loved LJJ. At first, when he was kid, you could tell that he was annoyed of her, however, he slowly warmed up to her and eventually fell in love with her. Once he warmed up to her, you could tell that he has fallen in love with her since they were kids. I almost stopped watching this drama when they all separated because I couldn't bare the fact that they were gonna separate, but I am so glad that I didn't stop! It got even better when they all reunited as adults. One good thing I really liked about this drama is that LJJ learned independence when both her brothers left. It was heartbreaking to see them break up, but she finally learned independence. All throughout her childhood, she always had both her brothers with her, they were always there when she needed them and were always there to protect her. But when things happen and both of them ended up leaving her, she finally grew up and became the amazing person she is. She was lowkey a little cringey when they were all still in high school; just a little cringey. However, towards the middle of the drama when they were all adults, I WAS AMAZED BY HER MATURITY. She always had the best advice and was just SO MATURE. I was shookedth!
UGH, there's much more I wanna talk about this drama, but I don't want to ruin it for you guys! IT IS A MUST WATCH! Not only is this drama so good about these siblings relationship, but also because it is so funny. There were a lot of comedic parts to this drama. I think I laughed from episode 1 til the end of the drama. I was lost when this drama ended because I didn't know what to watch after this. ( This may sound a little dramatic, but I felt a little lost with my life after this drama ended haha.)
The ost was AMAZING for this drama. I was listening to this ost non-stop for weeks. The song that Tan Songyun sang was so good. My favorite song was the theme song! It was playing non-stop on my spotify for weeks until it got old! Just all the ost songs WERE SO GOOD! Not only was the ost good, but the casting for this drama was amazing! I loved every actor and actress that played for this drama! They ALL portrayed their character so good! Especially Li Haichao! I was so amazed by his cooking skills in this drama haha. He was such a skilled cook and he always made me hungry!! And the bromance between Li Haichao and Ling Heping was just so lovable and adorable and cute. I never expected two father figures to have such a cute relationship. Their relationship was just so cute! I don't want to spoil anything and want you guys to watch and find out, but just know that their bromance was f ing adorable.
Although this drama was so good, there are a few cons with this drama. SPOILERS, but why are all the moms in this drama just HORRIBLE (besides He Ziqu's mom, she became good in the end; you will find out why hehe). The mom, sister AND grandma of Ling Xiao were just all so TERRIBLE. They basically all just abandoned him when they wanted to and expected him to come back whenever they wanted. LX's mom, bothered me the most, especially when I think (SPOILER) that she highkey just felt bad that she abandoned him when he was a kid because she blamed him for killing his sister. She only later "came back" into his life because she wanted to "repay" what he did for her. Like excuse me what??? Were you not the one to leave him and although you abandoned him, he still took care of you and everything after your car accident?! So how were you gonna judge him and prevent him from dating and loving who you wanted when he wanted to resume his life again???!!!! UGH! I was so pissed at that part....but anyways, you guys find out and decided what you think of it.

chosen family
i believe chosen family can be as strong as family by blood and it's heartbreaking to see jianjian cry when she said they're not like a "real family" because they're not family on paper. and thats why the romance later feel kinda odd to me. i like her friendships and i think it's cute they stay friends for years even after graduating.i cant help but think if i would like this better if jianjian is the older sister? instead of a younger sister. it's not a bad story and by the reviews there are many who really like it. i guess it's just not for me

beautiful slice of life drama
go ahead is my first cdrama and i really enjoyed it.i am a sucker for coming of age / slice of life / friendships drama so i knew i would like this one.
it was such a lovely drama and it made me go through so many emotions. i laughed, cried, got frustrated sometimes but got happy too. the characters were so endearing and i loved witnessing their evolution.
i loved the cast so much, they did such a good job. even the child cast was incredible and very talented.
the found family trope is one of my favorite and i think this drama made it justice.
however, i wish there had not been a romance between two of the main leads, but it is only my opinion. but i ended up fine with it since they didn’t make a big deal of the romance and focused more on the friendship and family.
all in all, this drama was worth to watch and i am glad I did.
