Tong Hua was the scriptwriter to for the drama as well so it's not all up to the producers. I think the fans could have had a voice during the pre-production but not now. 

Love is often about circumstances. Meeting the right person and at the right time. This drama is at least realistic in that aspect. It's not about who's perfect for her but what choices were laid out to her. Maybe she was the one that was meant to save Jing. Who says women can't be the one protecting the guy! XY was obviously not a weak girl. .  If you read to the end of the novel, she told CX that Jing saved her because he let her see that people can be kind even in the most horrible times. Couples are meant to compliment each other. Nobody said that he was perfect and his soul probably was more broken than anybody. That was why he often felt that he doesn't deserve her. 

Though often times I questioned why Tong Hua wrote the story to be a certain way.  I think I would have felt more bitter if XY didn't have her happy ending because she is the main person in this story. She went through so much trauma from her childhood so it made sense that she didn't want to end up like her parents. 

Gosto muito do XL, mas pra casal prefiro Tushan Jing

Do começo ao final da novel o  único que fala abertamente sobre os sentimentos, corre atrás pra desenvolver um romance e se esforça para fazer Xiao Yao abrir o coração é Tushan Jing. 

E na fase posterior ao desencontro por conta da armação da avó e da noiva fica evidente que os dois finalmente escolheram colocar a relação deles como prioridade.

Xiao Yao teve muitos homens ao redor, mas a relação amorosa só se desenvolveu com um e foi com Tushan. 

Todos se dedicaram muito a ela e deram tudo que podiam, mas a prioridade para XL era a guerra e a prioridade de CX o trono (apesar de ter começado como uma forma de proteger XY ele se tornou obsessivo)

Xiao Yao e Jing passaram por coisas extremamente semelhantes. O coração dela endureceu, o dele não e aqui foi onde a chave virou e fez com que se apaixonasse. Podem não gostar do personagem, mas ela realmente o amou e tinha motivo para isso: depois de passar tanto tempo com gente ruim é claro que se sentiria tocada por alguém que era genuinamente bondoso e quem a fazia bem. 

Eles se tornam parecidos também: XY e TJ abdicam da vingança para seguir adiante.
