Yes, it's a chain. One of the better ones, though it's a bit more expensive. It's also the closest one to my house. I usually go to Wal-mart (cheap and least pleasant) for the staples, and Kroger's (well stocked) for produce and special things.

They are originally from Florida, I believe, but they have expanded. We had them in Alabama too.

You can only find them in these states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia.
But from the moment that o moved to this country I’ve lived in 7 different apartments/houses and I have always have a Publix 5 minutes in car from my house. Just in the last last house that I could walk there

Walmart it’s good when you need to buy on a budget because they are cheaper. But Publix is just a super market, Walmart is a super store. In some places you can find a Walmart that is just a supermarket but I haven’t seen one here in Georgia

Is Brazil like Europe? Where they do have super markets, but they also have individually owned bakeries and butchers and cheese shops and veggie markets, etc? Cause there is nothing like shopping at those kind of stores. I LOVE me a European bakery.

Colombia is like that, we bought the meat at the butcher. The bread at the bakery, etc
