Tai Jiu Xian Shang De Ai (2009)

Family drama. Series revolves around the oldest son of farming family and his dream of getting an education and pursuing becoming a doctor, while also supporting his family. It places emphasis on how family responsibilities , loyalty and your wishes can collide. This was a slow series that never really picks up.

While I would love to say this was a romantic series, I cannot. It was more about loyalty, love, responsibility and compromise. (Think sister wives 😞)

What I liked about the series was that it showed a great bond between siblings and also a mothers determination to ensure he child had a chance to succeed.

What I didn’t like about it was the plot/storyline. The pacing was slow and somewhat boring.
