The "S" class is split up into two groups for field training. Shimura, Momoe, Ishida, and Nijima go with Sakuraba to an isolated island which houses mostly elderly men and women. One of the elderly women calls the station and reports a theft at her home, but the theft is attributed to her dementia. Later, Momoe begins regular visits to the woman's home, which is also frequented by a home lunch maker. Momoe learns to care for citizens while Shimura learns the truth of his father's actions.

Teary-eyed with Both...

...sadness (at the elderly woman's plight) and righteous anger on the part of Shimura toward Sakuraba and by extension, the police in general.
I can't wait to see what will happen now that another teacher has decided to take Shimura on as a trainee.
