Sad, Sad, Bittersweet, Beautiful ... get your tissues

Get your tissues ready cause this las episode is saad! The main character Fu YuShang is poisoned beyond belief, by the Emporer's sister, the minister of Justice he tries to cover it up by trying to kill Empress YuSheng with a knife saying he hates her, when all this time he's lusting after her. Shou An poisons the Empress because she believes its the Empress's fault for her baby dying, when in reality it was an accedent because Shou An falls down a step, chasing after her lustful husband minister of Justice. This random foriegn woman also poisoned the Empress (I still wonder why YuSheng even confided in her in the first place). So basically in the end its revealed Shou An is a total psycho and she becomes a nun, her husband gets fired, the random Concubine woman kills herself, Li Hua jin kills himself, his trusted female assasin kills herself, Jiang Shao and Former Empress Fu JinSheng go off together happily to go get married (we hope) somewhere outside the country to be traveling nomads. The Emporer and still heavily poisoned and dying Empress go to a barge together cause Fu YuShang doesn't want to just be cloistered inside when she dies... So, they have a romantic day on the barge going down the river and they talk then she drugs the Emporer's wine and as she holds onto him and he weeps bitterly loosing contiousness saying no, no, no he can't be alone and all that jazz he passes out, she dies. He wakes up alone comepletely utterly alone, he walks to the top of the boat and looks in the sky, the camera zooms out, it begins to snow, and there is one lone small white feather flying in the snow and that's it the end. (in otherwords I'm thinking she sprouted wings and went to heaven and left earth) This sorrowful but beautiful ending to a drama that tugs on one's heart had me crying... I recommend this drama for those who want to laugh and cry, this last episode was very good, even though very sad, and I still wish the Emporer would have at least made Shou An drink poison. Honestly I think the main characters are too naive and trusting... but still a great series worth a watch.
