A Tale of Thousand Stars

So im not sure how similar theyre really gonna be but in both the mc gets a heart transplanted and a romance ensues between them and the crush/partner of the previous owner of said heart.

BL Dramas. Rich guy goes to the countryside and meets poor guy, they fall in love. The ending episodes have a similar concept, particularly in the final scene.

Both of them is romantic bl genre and storytelling happens in countryside. There're annoyance-to-lovers also :D

Heart swap leads to a life swap. After receiving a heart transplant from volunteer teacher Torfun, who died in an accident, Tian discovers her life and secrets through her diary, including her promise to count a thousand stars with Chief Forest Officer Phupha. Determined to fulfill her wish, Tian becomes a volunteer teacher and tries to befriend Phupha.

If you watched one of these dramas you can watch another. Both are gems for me. They have deep story and main lead have to deal with guilt and lies.

Both dramas deal with illnesses and how to cope with the repercutions thereof in the ideal bl world. The directors also manage to avoid usual irritating sound effects, comic relief effeminate characters, evil females. They are definitely what bls should be like nowdays: quality production with a thought out story!

The rich younger brat with Daddy issues vs the older, poorer and responsible guy with the muscles! The setting is completely different but the overall theme is still going strong.

After a volunteer teacher Torfun dies in a tragic accident, her heart is transplanted into Tian. Tian learns about his donor’s life through a series of diary entries that reveal her secrets and interests. Included is her promise to count a thousand stars with Chief Forest Officer Phupha.

Tian decides to follow in Torfun's footsteps and fulfill her promise. Now a new volunteer teacher himself, Tian attempts to befriend Phupha who initially gives him the cold shoulder. As the two grow steadily closer, Tian notices his new heart beats quickly whenever he's near the officer. Much like the heart’s previous owner, Tian cannot help but fall for Phupha. Treading on dangerous ground, can he still go through with the thousand-star promise?

While the plots are very different, the chemistry and dynamic between the leads are very similar. So if you like the flirtatious, teasing, but fond dynamic of Bad Buddy, you'll probably like the how the relationship in 1000 Stars develops.

Except from being a BL, everything else is similar:
- city person moves to small village/town
- adjusting to country life
- village beau/chief that's respected by everyone as the love interest
- self discovery
- interacting with locals and children, and integrating into community
- goes back to city/original home
- slow burn romance
- masculine ML
- grand return at the end, and happy ever after
- death as inciting incident to leave former life behind for a change of scenery

the parallels go on forever! just that ATTS is BL and Meet Yourself is het.

Both are heartwarming and tender stories with a minimum of the trope laden pastiches of the genre. If Cherry Magic is magical, then 1000 Stars is a fairytale. Both have drama but it is the love that shines through in both tales.

1000 stars is faaaaaar more dramatic, however, both are Thai BL series that take place in countryside Thailand and all/most characters speak Thai dialect. There's plenty of green scenery as well. I recommend both if you enjoy BL and nature.

A sassy rich lead moves to the country side and falls in love with a friendly, poor person. That person makes the lead change themselves and grow. Both dramas show the rural life and the people living there act like one big family. The shows show the beauty of a simple life.

Thai BL series. Same as in A Tale of Thousand Stars, part of the story in Oxygen takes place in countryside Thailand. After the death of one of the characters Tian/Gui move from Bangkok to a rural area and become teachers.

Thai BL series. The stories are very different, Love Poison relies more in comedy than drama, however both BL series take place in Northeastern Thailand and some or all characters speak Isan dialect.
