You Are My Hero

Both shows have the males lead saving the female lead which become a crucial point for them to develop their relationship and bond.

Zhang Jing Yi is the FL in both. The chemistry is natural. The relationship had depth. However, BEITD does not have a satisfactory ending.

Both have strong male and female character leads. The stories have very modern relationships with proper communication, development, and even humor. Both have a male lead that is attracted to the female lead from almost the first episode. Neither have the cliche tropes these dramas are famous for.

The two shows seem really different on the surface in terms of plot, character occupations, cast, etc. But where they’re really similar (and also very similar to Yanxi Palace for that matter) is that in all of them you can trust the female lead’s intelligence and ability to not be a damsel or a Mary Sue. Though they all have different vibes, they’re similar in the fact that you never want to yell at the screen “are you an idiot?!?” to the female lead because they’re written to be smart, acted as intelligent and strong, and never lost integral parts of their early characterization for the sake of getting tropes to happen. None of the writers ever use the female characters in any out of character way that makes you go “well. Dramaland i guess but also what?!?! Why!!? They would never do that!” they’re all internally consistent which is so reassuring as a viewer because you can be sure that they’re not going to make things worse for themselves because the writer couldn’t figure out what to do.

Both MLs are policemen, and the FLs are in school/still in training when they meet the MLs.

In both of these dramas, FL and ML met each other first in an unexpected, disaster-like occasion. They somehow meet again in a few years later, while ML remember FL right away. FL is a doctor in you are my hero when ML is a doctor in a beautiful lie.

Similar in the way it includes a doctor and a member of the police force but in you are my hero the male lead is a swat member while in the first responder he is a dectective

While watching Got a crush on you, it reminded me of you are my hero. Maybe because both fl are doctors and ml are in risky jobs

I noticed that these two have similar vibes.
- both female leads are doctors who worked hard from the bottom.
- in Forest, male lead is sort of a rescue officer, while in You Are My Hero, male lead is a special police who often rescues people in need.
The leads's chemistry and acting are very good in both dramas.

Both dramas are different genres, but they have military/soldiers teams.
Search is more into mystery thriller genres relating to the virus that's infecting people. YAMH is about romance between a special police captain and a doctor.
Note: Bai Jing Ting (YAMH) reminds me of Jang Dong Yoon (Search)... both are so adorable with small babyfaces but their fitness is damn... their acting skills are superb too.

Both are Chinese dramas with military themes.

- Perfect Chemistry
- Amazing lead actors.

I know these two are very different. I got same beautiful feelings when I watched. Female Leads are aspiring doctors who is kind and beautiful. Male Leads are very charismaticand dreamy, also very good at fighting/action scenes. More importantly, both main couples have mature and healthy relationships. Their chemistry is top-notch.

Both of them have unique ways of getting along.
They are not being draggy.
They are mature even with fights and no misunderstandings that last forever like you're interested from the get-go.
Side couples' love stories are also nice.
Both MLS and FLs are strong and career-oriented

-in ogt the male lead is in the military while in yamh he’s in the swat team
-both ML save the FL with their team
-both FL can’t forget their heroes but during the rescue the ML faces were disguised so the FL don’t recognize them at first
-both ML are tough guys but super sweet to the FL
