The Journey Across the Night Episode 8

Li Jia has his first emotional breakdown during a case analysis in Professor Chan's class. Cha Cha tries to convince Cheng to give up on his pursuit for Feng Shanshan after discovering that her doll might have a more ominous significance. She believes that Shanshan's dead brother's soul was contained in the doll On a wednesday, Cha Cha and Li Jia join Cheng for a tennis match with Shanshan. He notices how she was bottling up her emotions and observes her actions closely. Cheng goes missing from the tennis court while Li Jia and Cha Cha return from the infirmary after taking care of a minor wound. They find him in the rain in a frightened and feverish state. Li Jia confronts Shanshan to find out the truth, but she is dismissive and tells him that she already has a boyfriend and asks all of them to stay away from her. Cheng wakes up, but appears to be terrified of even pictures of dolls. Cha Cha visits Shanshan's locker to check out the doll once again.
