Three Stars

I feel like Young Won is being pretty petty. I understand she's upset that Woo Joo "stole" Shi Joon away, but at the same time, she had whatever time from when she started liking Shi Joon until he started dating the patient who committed suicide PLUS the 8 intervening years to confess to him, and she never did. Ok, maybe for the first 1-3 years post-death she wouldn't want to bring it up from fear of being insensitive, but did she just think that he was going to stay single the rest of his life? If so, she shouldn't be so resentful when he starts dating someone else. On top of that, I strongly disagree with her that loving someone or dating someone means trusting them completely. I think love requires at least a basic level of trust, but trusting someone completely is something that comes with time in the relationship, and if you throw all of your trust into someone right from the start when you don't know where the relationship is heading, you're setting yourself up for failure and possibly betrayal. Also, you can trust your partner and still have anxiety and stress surrounding them. Maybe you trust them not to cheat or not to abandon you, but things happen like death or changing feelings or circumstances outside of your control. It was a surprisingly insensitive comment, especially from a psychiatrist, and I'm not sure whether that was supposed to be a profound moment in the show or whether they're aware it's insensitive and were trying to make the point that she was insensitive and harsh out of jealousy.Additionally, Shi Joon's anger at Woo Joo's lateness is a prime example of why it's unethical for psychiatrists to be involved with their patients. The right thing to do would have been to calmly point out that she was so late they couldn't have an appointment and to ask her to kindly reschedule. But because there are personal feelings involved, that interaction was emotionally charged and feels like it's no longer about the therapy and the treatment, but rather another issue altogether. When personal feelings and treatment collide, it's hard to see where one begins and the other ends, and the psychiatrist can no longer do their best as a neutral or unconditionally supportive entity.
