Si Joon comes across Cha Dong Il while investigating what really caused Nurse Heo to take her own life. Not like before, Dong Il actually managed to become a real cop, which was the reason he was at the hospital. Unlike Eun Kang Medical Center, Si Joon thinks the poor system of the hospital is responsible for her death. (Source: Viu)

I'm really impressed by this show's…

I'm really impressed by this show's ability to depict all the characters as just human. No one is overwhelmingly good or overwhelmingly evil. People may do bad things or make mistakes, but that doesn't mean they're complete lost causes. This is clear with the nurses who bullied Nurse Heo. Even though what they did was awful and inexcusable, you can see that even they feel guilty and sorry. I think them making disparaging comments after her suicide is a way of trying to push the blame on her so they feel less guilty, which, while not at all noble, is understandable. We've all been in situations where we want to divert blame. The fact that she decides to help Shi Joon by telling him what the system was like shows that she's redeemable, even if it doesn't absolve her of her sins. Another case that reminded me of this point was the hospital director. Even though I disagree with her stance, the show makes an effort to explain why she came to that conclusion and to show how she used to be different. I also really liked that they could show her and Dr. Park being friends despite clashing in the hospital. I originally thought that when Professor In felt completely overshadowed by Shi Joon he was going to go down the "vindictive saboteur" route, but it seems like the writers (hopefully) made him realize that the healthiest thing to do was to pull out of the internal competition he had with Shi Joon and just live his own life without the constant comparison. This seemed to be the case both with his professional achievements and with his relationship with Ji Young Won. Maybe he realized that Shi Joon never compared himself with Prof In but only viewed him as a friend and respected colleague. I really hope that's the case because it's nice to see characters making healthy decisions for once, but I'm not holding my breath. It was also really nice to see Shi Joon come in and unconditionally support Woo Joo after she had a meltdown in the police precinct. I'm sure most of the time when she has a tantrum, people turn away from her and judge her, so it meant a lot that Shi Joon took one look at the situation and immediately understood and, rather than castigating her, comforted her, which is all she needed. Seems like so far he's keeping his promise his made to Ji Seon.Speaking of which, Je Seon and Dr. Noh are so cute! Hope they make things work.
