This show does an excellent job of painstakingly dragging you through every emotional up and down Woo Joo has. My heart broke so hard when she said she wasn't worthy of Shi Joon, and it just shattered even more as I watched her struggle to convince herself she could overcome her condition. Even the part where she was upset over the flower, a scene that might have been lackluster in other shows, managed to make me feel so upset on her behalf that the flower hadn't survived. I could tell she felt like she had personally failed because the flower wilted. To her, that flower was just a metaphor for the trainwreck that is her life, and she's just desperately holding onto the hope the psych consultant gave her. My chest physically aches when I watch this show, but I think it's worth it. Jung So Min has crazy acting chops, and I respect her so hard. She does an amazing job of showcasing how a person can simultaneously be so sweet, kind, and caring, but also extremely destructive and alienating. Watching her fight her inner demons, which happen to be a bit stronger and more impulsive than most of ours, is a real emotional trip, and I feel laid raw every time she slips.I'm so proud of Prof In! I appreciate the journey he went through to get here, but I'm really glad he landed clearly on the "decent person" side of the spectrum. The deputy director has shown literally zero redeeming qualities thus far, which I find a bit disappointing for this show, but we still have 3 (long) episodes for him to become at least slightly less awful.
