A River Runs through It Episode 5

The school assigns the class excess homework for vacation. Lu Shiyi's mother returns home and everyone's parents' start to worry about their kids' future. Xiaoju's mom takes her to a supposed 'gaokao advicer' whonwas a fraud. On Chinese New Year, Shiyi gives Xiaoju a list of majors and colleges his father had picked out for him, but which he doesn't need anymore. When Jiashu uses it as a paper plane, Xiaoju's mom stops her from scolding him, hurting her by saying that she couldn't get into those popular majors. Sad at the low hopes everyone has for her, she runs away. She meets Shiyi on the way and he takes her to watch the fireworks along with Cheng Lang. He reveals that his dream major was Medicine, even though his father had picked out a few for him. All three of them decide to go to the same University. Xiaoju reconciles with both her mom and dad. Lu Shiyi packs away all his belongings that were 'distracting' to focus on his studies even though the time was limited. All students work hard as the days pass. (Source: kisskh.)
