My Ride is a hidden gem

It’s a sweet story. I liked it very much. I hope to see the two main leads again in another series together. I really like their chemistry and acting, since this was the first series that I saw them in. The music in this series is very catchy in my opinion. Every time I watch a new series, I immediately search up the ost. I have an entire Thai playlist with all ost in it. It’s unfortunate that this series, Tawan and Mork only officially get together in the last episode. It’s an overall very easy drama to digest and an easy watch. It doesn’t have a lot of drama, except with Mork’s ex-girlfriend, but it’s not even that much. Mork is such a sweetheart. He’s very pure and gentle hearted. As is Tawan. They are perfect for each other.

They Dragged the Cheating Boyfriend Storyline for Way Too Long!!

My Ride would have been great.... If they didn't drag out the cheating boyfriend storyline.

~~ STORY ~~

My Ride honestly could have been a contender for a memorable BL. It has a new and interesting pairing, a motorcycle taxi driver and a doctor. Also, Mork, the motorcycle taxi driver, is so adorable and cute. He is the perfect boyfriend! However, what hurt this BL was dragging out the cheater storyline. Also the side couples were not really amazing, but we'll talk about that later.

Before meeting Mork, Tawan ends up dating the doctor he's always had a crush on. That doctor starts ignoring Tawan and complains that Tawan is too clingy from day 1. We also learn that he is cheating on Tawan with his on-again-off-again ex. Meanwhile, Mork and Tawan are getting closer and closer by the day. It gets to the point where Tawan is clearly in love with Mork, but refuses to cheat on his cheater of a boyfriend despite the fact that his boyfriend is always ignoring him.

Anyways, that cheater storyline goes on for more than half of the series. It's annoying because we can clearly see Tawan falling for Mork, but choosing to let himself be manipulated by his cheating boyfriend. This cheating storyline should have been 2-3 episodes max, or have the cheating boyfriend have more screen time and become a major character. Because they dragged out the cheating storyline, the last few episodes felt rushed.

Also, if I could add my slight annoyances with this series before talking about the positives... They spend 3 episodes at the fair!!!! 3 WHOLE EPISODES!!!!!! Great because it felt like we were third-wheeling their entire date night, but did we really need to spend 3 whole episodes on one date night at the fair? Also, Mork having a "son" at the end was so random. I can see Mork actually taking care of his son and what not, but it was weird. Also, the girlfriend returning at the end was really unnecessary. Should have scrapped that drama and given it to Mork's son's storyline. We got too little information on Mork's son even though he's is going to be part of Mork and Tawan's family.


MORK x TAWAN

Mork and Tawan are absolutely adorable together. They really hit it off from day 1. Mork slowly falling for Tawan as the days pass is a beautiful. They don't have to being doing anything romantic to show they are in love. Mork always being there to listen to Tawan and to help him speaks louder than any of the romantic moments they had. Mork is really the ideal boyfriend despite being uneducated. The fact that he adopted his brother's son and works hard to make money for his son's education is amazing. Tawan still has a lot to go in terms of being the ideal boyfriend, but you can see that he is always thinking of others and puts his boyfriend first... Which is unfortunate for Mork until Mork takes that role from the cheater.

Overall Mork and Tawan were very cute together and I wish they got together sooner.


BOSS x TOY

I don't know if I like Boss and Toy together. Boss seems too stuck up for Toy. Boss is clearly not ready for a relationship and only thinks of himself. Toy, on the other hand, is an amazing character. He is interesting and fun. I'm sad that he likes Boss and they ended up together. I think Toy could do much better than Boss... or Boss needs to work on himself. He's slowly learning to be human and I hope Toy can help him with it.

NADIA x MAYOM

Skip this couple. They were boring and dragged on for no reason what so ever.

TAWAN x POR (x Kanghan)

Por is a piece of work and so is his on-again-off-again boyfriend Kanghan. The fact that Por started hitting on Tawan for fun, then getting annoyed with Tawan gets serious is annoying. Also Kanghan being petty and messaging Tawan to show up while he and Por are having sex is a nightmare. They should have just let Kanghan be the side piece and let Por dig his own grave. Making Kanghan petty and purposely message Tawan was unnecessary drama. We know Por is a piece of work, but Kanghan didn't need to be one too.

A nice watch. I'm not sure if I will rewatch this, but it's still a nice drama. I just wish they didn't drag the cheater storyline. Mork and Tawan are so cute! Mork is officially my ideal type of guy.

Algo simples mas que encanta e funciona!

Gosto da maneira como o relacionamento de Mork e Tawan cresce, também é uma revelação para Mork e como ele está disposto a aceitar o que seu coração quer.
Mork e Tawan têm seus próprios problemas, mas fornecem o apoio necessário um ao outro.
Seus sentimentos se desenvolvem de uma maneira naturalmente bela. Eles são tão gentis um com o outro.
Eu não me canso deles. Todos os episódios passam num piscar de olhos e eu gostei de cada segundo.
Também devo dizer que acho que é a primeira vez que realmente gosto de um relacionamento hétero em um BL.
Dia e Mayom são encantadores! Assim como Toy e Boss. Eles merecem felicidade!

Я давно подписана на гг-я Флюка и о выходе лакорна узнала сразу. Ждала с нетерпением и тревогой. Зная, какой Флюк (Мок) в жизни потрясающий парень (да и еще наполовину Китаец огонь красавчик), переживала, что роль может быть ему не подходящая. Но нет. Он здесь такой же как и в жизни. Фем тоже хорош.
О лакорне. Сказать, что я довольна - это не сказать ничего. Немного тупеньких шуточек, но в остальном отличная подача жизненных ситуаций и цитат. Многие моменты помогу вам в жизни точно. Все актеры (особенно взрослые играющие дядей) играют отлично. Если овнюк, то ты ненавидишь его за его действия. Если стеснительный, то смущаешься и стесняешься вместе с ним. Дяди. Это вообще отдельная песТня этого лакорна. Они бомбические. Посмотрите чтобы понять о чем речь.
Лакорн очень теплый, спокойный и уютный. Смотрится легко и с постоянной улыбкой на лице.

I have been subscribed to gg-I Fluke for a long time and I found out about Lacorn's exit right away. I waited with impatience and anxiety. Knowing what kind of Fluke (Could) be a terrific guy in life (and even a half-Chinese fire handsome), I was worried that the role might not be suitable for him. But no. He is the same here as in life. Fem is also good.
About lakorn. To say that I am happy is to say nothing. A few dumb jokes, but otherwise an excellent presentation of life situations and quotes. Many moments will help you in life for sure. All actors (especially adults playing uncles) play perfectly. If he's an asshole, then you hate him for his actions. If you are shy, then you are embarrassed and shy with him. Uncles. This is generally a separate song of this lakorn. They are bombastic. Take a look to understand what it's about.
Lakorn is very warm, calm and cozy. It looks easy and with a constant smile on your face.

Menceritakan kisah tentang seorang dokter bernama Tawan, kehidupannya sangat luar biasa menarik - termasuk pengalaman asmaranya, lalu dia bertemu dengan seorang tukang ojek yang sedang mengalami masa sulit dalam hidupnya, bagaimana kisah keduanya? apa yang terjadi ketika keduanya saling bertemu? saksikan seriesnya. Series bL yang satu ini fokus kepada bentuk cerita "jatuh hati, jatuh ke hati yang salah, itulah tag dari series ini. Penokohannya menurutku bagus ya, ada beberapa mainrole di series ini, selain Tawan dan Mork, ada juga Mayom dan Nadia ; yang terakhir Toy dan Boss, walaupun punya tiga main role, namun keduanya hanyalah filler, main role utama sangat di highlight di series yang satu ini, namun secara keseluruhan mereka berdua punya cerita-nya masing-masing yang menurut saya cukup menarik. Dari segi scene dan warna menurutku sangat bagus ya, saya sangat suka scene malam hari di series ini karena sangat epic, beberapa romansa sangat kuat di sini, penuh dengan romantisme yang bagus dan natural ; beberapa ekspressi mungkin agak kurang dapet ya, namun ceritanya bagus, rekomendasi? yes dong, rekomendasi banget untuk di tonton.

Um BL tailandês bem fofo. Felizmente saímos do clichê ensino médio/universidade, e pude assistir uma plot bem diferente do tradicional. É simples, sem grandes polêmicas, só mesmo as questões sobre amor que todos nós já enfrentamos: paixão, traição, classes sociais, interesses, intrigas, dor de cotovelo... Gostei da atuação dos atores (algumas participações de estrelas consagradas no meio BL). Faltou beijo, sim, um beijo que valesse a pena esperar por 10episódios e que foi bem fraco para quem está apaixonado (me lembrou os doramas coreanos). Recomendo assistir se você estiver procurando uma coisa bem simples mas agradável.

Nossa origem não determina o tipo de pessoa que somos, mas a verdadeira felicidade só é possível quando aprendemos a nos amar.

É uma história incrivelmente doce sobre o encontro de duas pessoas que teriam a mínima possibilidade de estar em um relacionamento e que se torna uma linda história de amor. O que mais gostei nessa série foi a simplicidade com que ela retrata a vida real e sua linda mensagem. Mork e Tawan estão passando por um momento difícil quando Tawan contrata Mork como seu mototaxista e eles inicial uma amizade improvável, tornando-se o sistema de apoio um do outro. Amei como Mork questiona sua sexualidade e aceita seus sentimentos por Tawan sem se sentir envergonhado por estar apaixonado por um homem e sem todo aquele drama que vemos em muitas séries quando isso acontece. A química entre Fame e Fluke é naturalmente encantadora. Mork e Tawan parecem realmente feitos um para o outro.

Não posso deixar de mencionar os casais e personagens secundários que realmente deram vida à série:

1. Os amigos de Mork: OMG! Eles são divertidos, atenciosos, amáveis e descomplicados. São os melhores amigos que alguém poderia desejar.

2. Boss e Toy: Toy é arrogante e encrenqueiro. Boss é um nerd com uma personalidade extremamente rigorosa. Amo um enemy to lovers e esse merecia um pouco mais de tempo de tela. Talvez menos Tawan & Por e mais Boss & Toy. Gostei de como os personagens amadureceram emocionalmente e saíram da sua zona de conforto para entender o outro.

3. Nadia e Mayom: Nadia é talvez a personagem que menos gostei. Ela está o tempo todo reclamando que não encontra um homem decente para amar e quando encontra, inicialmente o rejeita. Fiquei com a impressão de que ela não quer namorar Mayom porque ele é um simples barista e depois só aceitou namorá-lo quando descobriu que ele é famoso. Mayom é definitivamente muita areia para o caminhãozinho dela e ele merecia alguém melhor.

4. Cheep e Dej: acho que eles são a melhor representação de um casal de homens gays de meia-idade em um relacionamento amoroso estável. Eles implicam o tempo todo um com o outro, mas são nos pequenos gestos que você percebe o quanto eles se amam e se respeitam. Eles são sem dúvida os responsáveis por Mork aceitar sua sexualidade e seus sentimentos por Tawan. Gostei da maneira sutil como eles transmitiram lições de vida importantes para Mork sem nunca se imporem. São meus personagens secundários favoritos.

Series ini lumayan memberikan angin segar untuk hati yang gundah gulana. Ceritanya enggak berat, gampang dipahami lah, karakter-karakternya enggak bejibun juga banyaknya, semuanya penting. Overall, ini series enggak bagus banget, tapi juga bukan series yang abal-abal.

JALAN CERITA:
Tukang ojek dan dokter. Kalau orang luar pasti enggak bisa nyambung, tuh, tapi kalau kita orang Indonesia, mah, nyambung-nyambung aja (kebanyakan nonton alur cerita FTV, ngakak). Mork, si tukang ojek depan gang rumah sakit sama Tawan, dokter 28 tahun yang ganteng dan baik hati, mulai dekat gara-gara Tawan mulai pakai jasanya Mork buat ke mana-mana. Dari sanalah benih-benih cinta bersemi. Didukung dengan Mork waktu itu masih nangis sesenggukan karena baru aja diputusin pacar ceweknya dan Tawan yang dengan polosnya jadi selingkuhan couple lain. Yups, Tawan itu gay from the beginning dan Mork mulai mleyot setelah lihat manisnya Tawan.
Series ini bawaannya lovey-dovey, cinta-cintaan, enggak panas seksi telanjang dada semua kayak series sebelah yang mau tayang, lebih ke kata-kata manja uwu-uwu sama skinship dikit-dikit yang bikin kita gemes remes-remes bantal boneka.
Ceritanya ini menitikberatkan pada kedekatan Mork dan Tawan sambil mereka menyelesaikan masalah mereka satu per satu. Semua juga dikemas dengan realistis. Mork enggak dengan ajaibnya satu malam udah cinta mati sama Tawan, Tawan juga enggak langsung nyablak ngelabrak orang yang udah jadiin dia selingkuhan. Di series ini juga ada pamannya Mork yang gay juga dan tinggal seatap. Tumben juga series Thai menghadirkan pasangan gay yang senior. Nah, kehidupan kedua pamannya Mork ini juga nyata banget. Ibarat kata, ya, kayak gitu mungkin couple yang hidup menua bersama. Efek samping kerealistisan ini adalah alurnya jadi lumayan lambat. Mungkin kalau yang pengin banyak bumbu dan alurnya cepet, series ini cukup membosankan.
Couple lain: ToyBoss sama MayomNadia menurutku enggak begitu krusial di series ini. Ya, kayak di series-series lain lah, cuma jadi pelengkap. Di novel sumbernya juga ToyBoss itu enggak ada (eksklusif series ini aja) dan Nadia itu cowok. Entah kenapa mereka ada atau diganti, mungkin untuk alasan durasi atau variasi semata.

AKTING:
Gaya perannya Fluke (yang jadi Mork) dan Fame (yang jadi Tawan) natural banget. Keduanya bisa membawakan Mork dan Tawan dengan sangat baik. Gestur dan pembawaan mereka ketika akting alami banget. Tawan yang baik hati, enggak neko-neko, polos, sama Mork yang slengekan, tipikal anak muda biasa, kelihatan banget di peran mereka. AKAN TETAPI, kenapa ciuman mereka kelihatan enggak greget? Kenapa wahai Pak Sutradara? Kenapa? T_T
Yoon (yang jadi Toy) dan Best (yang jadi Boss) menurutku aktingnya kurang dapet. Apalagi pas adegan pernyataan cinta. Kayak maksa gimana gitu.
Selain itu, enggak ada komplain. Bagus dan natural.

PEMERAN/PEMAIN:
Biasa lah, ya, semuanya pada ganteng-ganteng dengan badan yang aduhai. Fluke ganteng-ganteng imut. Lesung pipitnya itu, loh, bikin pengin nyubit. Fame dari mukanya cocok banget sama karakter dokter yang baik hati dan suka menolong. Ekspresi keduanya juga klop sama peran yang mereka mainkan. Kalau untuk chemistry, ya, enggak cocok-cocok banget, sih, menurutku sekitar 75% lah.
Pemain lain juga menurutku cocok semua. ToyBoss, MayomNadia, tiga tukang ojek gengnya Mork yang kocak, paman-pamannya Mork juga, semua karakternya pas, enggak maksa. Cast is great.

MUSIK:
Ada beberapa BGM (Background Music) yang catchy, tapi selebihnya enggak begitu mengena. Lagu pembukanya juga bagus, nadanya semangat.

NILAI TONTON ULANG:
Bisa jadi referensi kalau selesai nonton series yang berat-berat, BL yang bertema serius macam Not Me, Manner of Death, I Tell Sunset About You, dan sebagainya, bisa lihat series ini sebagai healing.

KESELURUHAN:
Salah satu series yang apik di tahun ini, meskipun entah mengapa series ini underrated, enggak banyak yang bahas. Mungkin karena platform siarnya enggak global, enggak ditayangkan di Youtube. Produksinya enggak abal-abal atau murahan, ceritanya ringan dan jelas, minim drama-drama enggak penting, dan lumayan anti-mainstream. Enggak ada bayangan untuk season 2, sih. Walaupun dari segi cerita, season 2 bisa dibuat.

หนังวายที่น่ารักและอบอุ่นที่สุด เท่าที่เคยดูมา ความธรรมดาที่ไม่ธรรมดา เมื่อความธรรมดากับความไม่ธรรมดา ได้มาเจอกัน แต่จริงๆแล้วความธรรมดานั้น ด้วยผลของการกระทำของหมอกเอง เป็นความพิเศษที่มากกว่าเศรษฐานะภายนอก ความดีของหมอก จึงเอาชนะใจหมอไม่ได้ไม่ยาก ถ้าในชีวิตจริง เรามีแฟนแบบหมอก เราถือว่าเกิดมาโชคดีแค่ไหน และหมอกก็สมควรแล้วที่ได้คู่ครองกับตะวัน

NÃO PERCA O SEU TEMPO

Comecei esse drama achando toda a premissa muito interessante mas me decepcionei bastante em muitos aspectos.
O personagem Tawan é extremamente fraco pra mim, eu não aguento com a mesma expressão durante todos os 10 episódios e o mesmo sorriso que eu sinto que não deveria estar lá na maior parte do tempo. Já o Mork achei um personagem excelente mas mal aproveitado (o que tem haver exclusivamente com o roteiro).
A história começa bem nos seus 2 primeiros episódios e depois fica extremamente arrastada, ela não te prende e é extremamente infantil, parece que eu estou acompanhando um casal infantil e não um casal adulto (culpa exclusiva do personagem Tawan que parece ter 9 anos de tão bobo), os casais coadjuvantes são um pouco mais interessantes mas não o suficiente para prender minha atenção por muito tempo, tanto que em um certo ponto comecei a pular várias cenas porque eu só queria acabar logo.
As cenas românticas não são convincentes e os beijos são vergonhosos para a experiência do público.
Enfim, uma decepção.
