Episode Title: The Existence of Immortals and Demons
Zhan Yan investigates a case to learn that a small black cat is to blame. Zhan Yan then investigates a murder. When he goes back to question a witness, he encounters Duan Mu Cui who is there catching the demonic criminal. The criminal kills her lover and herself after he sees her turn into a monster. Zhan Yan takes Duan Mu Cui back with him to investigate the case.

No Boundary Episode 1 Reactions
As far as the first episodes goes, it wasn't anything sectacular but I did like how female lead was introduced. She has confidence as is expected of her status, and doesn't back out from a challenge (mostly by male lead).

Different from typical chinese fantasy, costume or period series. This started without any narration and shocked viewers with awesome set, wardrobe and mystery right away. Darren Chen's facial expressions consistently matches scenes he is portraying. He is a versatile actor andbvery promising. Kudos to production team for awesome set.
