Zi Qian confesses to Sheng Nan that he hopes he can have a special place in her life. Sheng Nan turns him down and apologizes. Lu Jin returns to Suhai and looks for Sheng Nan at the hospital. He hugs her the moment he sees her. But Sheng Nan has become distant. They argue over the situation. Lu Jin apologizes for not being there for her. Both Lu Jin and Sheng Nan seek out Gao Quan An for advice. Gao Quan An tells Lu Jin that Sheng Nan is feeling insecure. He also advises Sheng Nan that being distant can still lead to romance since she still loves Lu Jin. Lu Jin disagrees with his mother about Sheng Nan. He tells her not to interfere in his relationship as he knows she has spoken to Sheng Nan.
