Keepy you on your tippy toes
To be honest this is one of my favourite kdramas ever. Its such an interesting action kdrama, every episode keeps you intrigiued and on your tippy toes. Cast is amazing as well, great actors! Plots are always well done and so many likeable characters. The thought of criminal X police romance happening is making me lowkey excited too hehe...Very good. I recommend it!! Also the main character in there is sexy as hell........(Lee Jehoon). Yeah just give it a chance, I feel like its one of those shows where you can easily get into!!Was this review helpful to you?
my review
I really enjoyed the tandem of Park Ji-eon and Choi Gyeong-gu in Taxi Driver. Even though they sometimes have only a short screen time, they manage to be incredibly entertaining. Their scenes are super funny, and they have this natural way of bouncing lines off each other that makes you laugh without trying too hard. Their humor feels effortless, and their expressions and small actions are so cute and hilarious at the same time. They have great chemistry — just a look or a short line between them can already make the scene lively. I honestly wish they had even more screen time together, with longer scenes where they can keep exchanging lines, because they’re so fun to watch and they really brighten up every episode they’re in.I also really liked the character of Kim Do-ki. He has a strong and serious personality, but you can feel the warmth and pain he carries inside. His calm attitude while dealing with heavy emotions makes him very captivating. His action scenes are intense, yet he shows deep care for the victims, which makes his character admirable.
The female hacker adds another layer of fun and charm to the team. She’s incredibly skilled with computers, very intelligent, and her playful personality lightens up many serious moments. She balances the group with her wit and confidence.
The CEO is also a standout character. She has a mysterious yet powerful presence, with elegance and strength that hold the team together. Her leadership and determination for justice give the story direction and depth.
I also love the storyline of Taxi Driver. It’s exciting, meaningful, and full of surprisingly emotional moments. The plot twists are one of the best parts — they’re shocking, unpredictable, and always keep you curious about what’s coming next, so the show never feels boring.
Overall, the hilarious tandem of Park Ji-eon and Choi Gyeong-gu, the strong characters, realistic acting, great chemistry, amazing storyline, and unexpected plot twists all made Taxi Driver incredibly enjoyable to watch

Obsessed
It's been like a month since I watched seasons 1 & 2 and I'm still reeling from the high.Obviously every scenario was made convenient enough for our dream team to come in and steal the show, so you have to suspend reality a lot of times but I feel like that's what made the show special - making the impossible seem possible.
All of the acting was really good, the characters all had great synergy and each of the stories told in the episodes were super entertaining.
This definitely goes up in the hall of fame and I can't wait to rewatch it!

Taxi Rainbow Team undecided....
in one place we have the Taxi Rainbow Team who every one of the squad have experience at first hand what its like to lose a love one in a very violent way. they know how the system does not help the victims and consequently the family of the victims. therefore they have to spend their days knowing they will never get justice. that the system was never there to help the victims but to protect the bad guys. with that they decide to take revenge in the name of those who can't, with their own methods, outside the law, their ways can even be said to be derived from morality;in the other hand we have Prosecutor Kang Ha Na who believes bad guys needs to get punish through law and the law only, any other method will make you as bad as them. she is the shining example of what "justice" is —rightfull, law abiding—. you see, she's the good cop, the one that follows the rules, can't get corrupted and works hards to get the villains in jail. she's different from the others —which can include even her sunbae— because she can see what is "right" and what is "wrong". therefore for her The Taxi Rainbow Team is in the wrong, The Taxi Rainbow Team broke the law so they deserve to be punish as well. in fact this particular 'case' of a Taxi Driver who kidnaps bad guys deserve her full attention. because for her if you don't follow the law —or rather, the system— then you need to be judged.
yet she watches over and over again how the system she so much believes in is unreliable, unable to actually help those who need it and rather benefits those who don't deserve it. but you see for her it's not the system, it's the people who utilizes the system in benefit of the bad guys. even when she's the one who requires the service of The Taxi Rainbow Team she's unwilling to accept that is the system that it doesn't work and has never worked. she even managed to give them a lecture about how wrong their methods are and gets to be the one who helps them to punish "rightfully" the bad guys at the end of the show.
the Taxi Rainbow Team finally decides —with a little bit of help of Prosecutor Kang Ha Na— that bad guys go to jail because apparently the prision reform is "helpful" and therefore they are respecting the law. that their ways have crossed the line so there was no need anymore for the company to continue with that project. that bad guys are to be left to the police because apparently they actually are "useful". and with this new "realization" they part their ways....
....but no longer after, they reopen the The Taxi Rainbow project?
does it means that they realize —once again— that the system truly will never be there for the people? that as long as they live in a capitalistic society the system would be there only to give profit to the powerful and therefore the non privileged are set to suffer? that at least the little support they offer help the victims in a way....?
....yet we find that now Prosecutor Kang Ha Na is part of the team. does it means then even though they will follow with the Taxi Rainbow activities they'll do it according to the law and therefore they are given their hopes on this flawed system?
the fact that Ahn Go Eun decides to become part of the police reinforces the idea that they have decided somehow to believe in the system, making then this just another cop propaganda show and therefore undermining how these cases both in here and real life are wrongly handled, which makes you wander then what's the point of this show?

Blatantly overrated! A decent watch, occasionally entertaining, story meh
Entertaining premise with below average execution.Acting is decent but not perfect. Lee Jehoon as Kim Do-gi is the one with most screen time and also that might be why his acting flaws become obvious over the course of the drama. I do not think he can hold the main role with such script. Therefore, to mitigate that, the screenwriters should have pushed all members of the Rainbow Taxi team (Seong Cheol, Go Eun, Gyeong Gu, Jin Eon) to have equal screen time, and well polished background stories. The team members had quirks that would appeal to audience much more than blatant exposition of Kim Do-gi's as "hot and dangerous" over and over again. We get it, he is handsome but it becomes boring after exactly one episode and that cannot carry the whole 16 episodes...which seems what the screen writers intended. And again, it is not justified why Do-gi is the main character, as his story is not presented with particularly more depth, than any other.
Then as for episodes, well, all stories they have a pattern of being quite one layered. Killers/criminals are straight-up bad evil guys without any complexity. Do-gi beats them up, the team chips in marginally (but never can do anything on their own). Even the main characters have very weak development. I am generally disappointed by the script.
What is holding this drama up is the novelty of each episode having a new interesting premise (albeit I forget what I watched the minute I stop watching).
Brainless entertainment that you can enter with low expectation.
As the fan #1 of brainless entertainment, I will watch S2.
...But 8.8 for this drama? Someone must be tripping, and it ain't me.
Thanks for reading,
JPX

not just action drama
I first watched this drama because it was recommended by my friend and it became my favorite drama. Taxi Driver Season 1 delivers a powerful and satisfying story with a unique concept about revenge and justice. Each episode presents different cases inspired by real social issues, making the plot feel intense, emotional, and meaningful. The storytelling is well-paced, keeping viewers curious about what will happen next. The acting is one of the strongest points of this drama. Lee Je-hoon did an outstanding job portraying Kim Do-gi, showing both his calm charisma and deep emotional pain. The supporting cast also shined, especially the Rainbow Taxi team, whose teamwork and loyalty added warmth and balance to the dark themes.
What I loved most is how the drama combines action, thriller, and moral questions without feeling forced. The action scenes are thrilling, the villains are truly hateable, and the satisfaction when justice is served is unmatched. Overall, Taxi Driver Season 1 is an unforgettable drama that leaves a strong impact and makes you eagerly want to continue to the next season.

I'm just going to sum up my review by keeping it short and simple. People who do others wrong with no remorse don't know or understand how it feels until it happens to them. That's what I truly loved about this series. Justice was served in every way one could imagine.
The only thing that I hated about this series is that it came to an end and I seriously doubt a sequel will be in the makings.

Family. A new character who shakes the balance. A game of cat and mouse.Season two doesn’t fall short of the first — once again, it delivers stories of injustice that sting, and retribution that heals. The formula is familiar, but the energy feels different. The missions are bigger, riskier, and carry higher stakes. The criminal network built by the new villains is larger and more deeply rooted, making Do-ki’s infiltrations even bolder and more varied.
There’s nothing new to say about the Deluxe Taxi team — they remain a family, united to the end.
‼️ Spoiler Alert ‼️
I was suspicious of On Ha-joon from the start, so I wasn’t surprised he was planted in the team. But I didn’t expect to grow attached to him. In the end, when he whispers, “If I had met you first… would my life have been different?”, it broke my heart. He became what he is simply because he had the misfortune of meeting the wrong people — and believing them. But can you really blame him? After all, he was just a child.
‼️ End of Spoiler ‼️
This season makes you reflect on how thin the line is between justice and crime, between victim and predator. And how the tilt of the scale often depends on who reaches out their hand — and when.

This is really a great drama. I wonder if something like this exists out there world. It would be great if victims would get Justice from perpetrators that harm them or a loved one. I get so tired of people escaping Justice for the crimes they commit, especially those who work in government space. I loved martial arts, I love the place where the taxi driver kept his taxi.
Lee Je Hoon who played Kim Do Gi was perfect for this part. Another actor I love. He was so good! This drama also had a strong woman role played by actress Kang Ha Na the character name Esom. The actor Kim Eui Sung who played the owner of the business was great. Thank you to all the other actors/actresses, the team of this drama, the writers, and all of the visuals.

exciting and based on real events
really good movie. enjoyed this and other series. well done. well executed. storyline tight and well constructed. Different from other Korean series.Well executed stunts, special effects.
A series about a traumatized ex soldier who begins to work for a taxi firm by day, by night the firm becomes a vigilante to catch the true criminals that unjustly treat people.
A team of five, taking on the rich and powerful, and occasional lowlife gangster.
Definitly worth looking at.
All subtitled.
I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself and you'll probably want to watch series 2 and eventually series 3 when it comes.
