Xia Yan passed the promotion interview and was promoted to manager of the Operation Department while still being in charge of the Confidante Planet project. The new department director, Ling Wei, agrees with Xia Yan’s proposal of abolishing the stack ranking system. Xu Cheng Yi missed out on the opportunity to celebrate Xia Yan’s promotion as he was too busy with work. Xia Yan feels bad as she sees the chemistry between Xu Cheng Yi and Ling Wei. Yan Chang Jun treats Xia Yan to lunch, telling her that Ling Wei returned to the country to win Xu Cheng Yi’s heart again. He tells her that her only way to win is to work together with him.
