Arisu Ryo, a ramen critic, has been going to "Ohira Shokudo" in the Itabashi ward for 20 years on a monthly basis. He finds out that the elderly Ohira Shigeyuki and his wife, Yoshie, wants to retire. Due to not having a successor, they are planning on closing the shop down. Arisu brings the issue to "Seiryuu Planning" to ask them to find a successor and Serizawa accepts. Serizawa plans to make it a competition among her employees. The competition gets interrupted by the drunken Takano Kenjiro, who insists on being a candidate.
