Midori is the pharmacist put in charge of Seno. Hatanaka, from the department of gastroenterology, is the doctor put in charge. Seno's adrenal cancer has no established standard treatment. He doesn't improve under the administration of the usual medication. Midori begins looking into adrenal cancer but can't find an effective method. Nanao tells her that there is a drug that is effective against adrenal cancer overseas. However, there are barriers for that drug present in their hospital. Meanwhile, Seno sees that Maruoka Hajime has been brought in. He tells the man's wife to tell the doctor or nurse about his usual medication. Midori begins looking into a clinical trial but Kariya refuses, not wanting other patients to be inconvenienced.
