Tired, old trope and I don't have time for that.
So, i gave this drama 2 chances. episode 1, then episode 2. I'm not interested in seeing anymore because we all know how it's going to end.Neither of the 2 leads are likeable.
This entire show is just a case of drawing it out with pointless drama, when we all know the pushover FL is going to end up with the jerk she's had a crush on since she was a schoolgirl. This drama gives me "fake deep" vibes.
You know, its kinda try hard? Like it WANTS to be a really deep, maybe profound romance thing, thats like deep, but thats kinda hard to take seriously when the FL's been pining over a stupid highschool crush for more than 10 years. Like wth? Girl, its been a whole decade. Move on? And the ML is an asshole and I can't get behind him lmao.
it took me 10 seconds to see the second male lead and instantly realize i was going to get second-lead syndrome. the second male lead could have been an entire light post and the same thing would happen ;-; that's how hard it is to root for any of these characters.
Anyways, this entire "relationship" is just toxic, the story is going to be the most painful, excruciatingly long CHORE of a drama to finish; and I don't have time for that :) dramas should NEVER turn into a chore for me to dread watching. I'll keep my light-hearted do do sol sol la la sol tyvm. This can stay on the shelves :)
tl;dr nothing that's already been said about this (in all the other low rating reviews) is any different from what i'm sayinG. I just wrote this review anyways, because a 8.0 rating is lowkey deceptive. this drama isn;t worth anyone's time :/ Good production quality and a decent OST can't save bad writing. This is the old, tired trope of childhood friends to lovers, only executed in the nastiest way possible. Hard pass.

Nothing new, nothing fresh but still watchable!
I think Shin Ye Eun haven't learn anything from her previous project, the Cat drama, I mean, I almost died of frustration and there was nothing in that drama, no logic, no story and above all poor production. SYE choose this drama for reasons only she knows, but this series has same elements as the previous one - unrequited love, suffering, innocent female, stubborn male, poor second lead.JTBC is best at producing romantic slow place dramas, I love their dreamy settings, use of Jeju Island, raining scenes and subtle interaction between leads. However, it has toxic environment more than it requires. Based on 2 episodes, and my experience, this drama is not going anywhere in terms of creativity and story. Two leads fighting over female lead, and viewers guessing who she will end up with is a trademark plot of Korean TV industry and then there is always feeling of immense sadness for poor second lead.
However, More Than Friends will still be addictive to many, reason? Isn't it obvious? People are more focused on idol boy OSW than the story itself. As long as this Idol boy chasing girl, whom he disregarded earlier and used her as a pawn to satisfy his own feelings only to reject her thrice, for his disbelief in love and dysfunctional family problems. I would slap that person so hard to make them come to senses and then move on with my life.
The production and camerawork of series is beautiful, just like Something In The Rain, cinematography, the raining scenes, and coldness of scenes, is kinda my favourite. There are moments coming to story, that will make female lead suffer more and it is yet to seen whom she would side with. I just hope there is no 2nd female lead. I want this between, ML-FL-2LD.
MTF is more than ok, but less than something interesting. It is a typical tale told thousand times made for demographic falls between 18-24.

Up to episode 8 and cant see why there are so many negative reviews! I agree the ML is a jerk but dont agree that the female is a doormat. So far she has spoken back frankly to the ML - rejecting his advances and realistically saying its delusional and only because she has found someone else. She is obv drawn to him but is resisting his advances as she knows she shouldnt trust him. Remarkable self control and self preservation!Just have to wait and see how the storyline continues....
I feel all the characters are well drawn and acted - they all have weaknesses and flaws as we all do!

After watching the series I was unable to appreciate any kdrama or lakorn for about a week because nothing seems to compare to it. But I’m still thinking if I would watch it again later on. It brought out a lot of emotions which am personally not comfortable with. I sincerely really enjoyed watching it the first time though.

IDK why so many people hated the Lee Soo
logically, you would pick the Joon Soo but the drama tells that its not what who you should logically pick its who is inside of your heart. Even though the Joon Soo is caring and sweet you should always listen to your heart not the brain. Woo Yeon even tried to like Joon Soo but failed, you can't force yourself to like someone. Woo Yeon and Lee Soo really deserve each other but the writers should have at least gave Joon Soo his own happy ending that will love him.overall this drama is really good <3

More Than Friends <3
I loved the cast, especially Ong Seong Woo as Lee Soo (slight bias). The main characters did not only shine in this show, but the supporting actors were also highlighted throughout More Than Friends. They all had their dramatic and heartfelt moments. There were many twists and unexpected turns throughout the show that made it exciting and sometimes made me angered by the decisions of the characters (but that's when you know you are so invested in a show that you get upset with a character's decisions). Although I found the plot was slightly repetitive, it was still very engaging and different from other shows I've watched. I also enjoyed the OST of this show. There are many kdramas out there and are being produced but overall, I love More Than Friends! I would highly recommend it! Hope season 2 comes out soon!Was this review helpful to you?

Not an outstanding show but it was good in some way and painful in others.
This show was a hard one for me. It took me months to watch it off and on.I think the last 3 episodes just ticked me off to the point that I wanted to shoot Woo Yeon! Who ever wrote her part should be shot! She was really really selfish in the end. She pushed him to go, promised to wait for him, and then started to blame him for going on the trip and leaving her instead of being honest with him. She was the one with the problem because she had thoughts of breaking up from the get go. She had no faith in him or his love for her and did not really believe he loved her to begin with. She made promises she did not keep and made him suffer and take the blame for it all. And if she was having that hard of a time why why WHY do she just not drop everything and fly to him??!! I would have dropped it all to be with him and THEN fulfill my dreams once we were back from the trip! Why does the guy always have to drop it all and run to the girl? So stupid! She turned it all on him and took no blame for her part. Even when he told her how he felt about their breakup over the phone and why he said what he said, she still ended it and blamed him for it all. 🙄🤦🏼♀️😡 Totally not mature at all!
Don’t get me started on the other girl who had been with her boyfriend for 10 yrs and then dumped him. Has anyone ever heard of bearing each others burdens makes it better and helps you grow closer. You have the support you need through those tough times. In the end and I mean IN THE END they all made up and were happy. Typical drama script.🤦🏼♀️
Acting/Cast- I liked all the actors. I have seen many of them in other shows. They did a great job in pulling off their characters. I have no complaints in that area.
Ok so the story was not my favorite at all! Would I rewatch it? Probably not. This show was to painful in the immature department.🙄

The worst drama ever
Semplicemente il peggior drama mai visto. Gli attori protagonisti della storia centrale (il classico triangolo amoroso) sono davvero insopportabili. Banalità e cliché a ripetizione, storia non solo insignificante ma irritante. Il nulla cosmico. È davvero difficile immaginare di poter fare di peggio. Penso sia adatto a un pubblico di dodicenni. Sarei curioso di sapere che riscontro ha avuto nel pubblico coreano. Per fortuna tra poco dovrebbe uscire my liberation note. Quattro fenomenali attori e sceneggiatura di My mister. Esse drama fez eu não acreditar mais em avaliações do mdl, pois é um drama muito bom e real. Além de ter um plot que eu amo……………………..Bad boy que se rende ao amor! Casal principal erra e se desencontra, mas no final o amor vence! Eu recomendo muito para quem gosta! Eu não achei os mains chatos não. Eu gostei de todos os personagens e não torci para o SML porque eu sabia que 10 anos de amor não se apaga…………………….Assistam se tiver na dúvida pois é bom e eu não fiquei nenhum pouca cansada e com vontade de abandonar. esse é aquele tipo de dorama que o roteirista tem uma história com muito potencial e consegue estragar da forma mais amadora possível, achei preguiçoso colocar um personagem pra fazer magicamente o protagonista acordar pra vida podia ter feito sem a existência de um personagem secundário, os protagonista são muito 8 ou 80 até aí ok só que a hipocrisia e incoerência deles em alguns momentos acho que irritou qualquer pessoa que assistiu, acho que não é um drama que vale a pena o tempo perdido não.Was this review helpful to you?
