not season 2, just 1 whole season in 2 parts

This is my favourite kdrama. No kdrama can beat this one for me. The creator just split this drama into 2 seasons but its only one drama. Everything in this is so good. It is a perfect watch after a heavy dramatic drama. No actual negative character and happiness everywhere. This drama proved, to be a good drama, it should not always consist an evil character, a suspense, a dramatic plot or problematic relationships. Even if there are only good things the drama can be good.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

MY COMFORT DRAMA

If this drama is made until season 10, I will watch it!

The story, acting, music and everything in this drama feels right in proportion. The love story is warm and feels very interesting to continue watching it.

The writer of this drama, I really respect you!

Hope to see this doctor's friendship for a long time. They are all so good at acting that they form characters that are hard to forget!

As for the music, I really enjoyed them performing as a band and doing old songs that I liked too. The ost is also very touching, I still play the ost often and it's on my daily playlist.

Season 1 is better, but Season 2 has the better ending. (Contains Spoilers)

Season 1 is better, but Season 2 has the better ending. Don't be fooled as the core of this show is ROMANCE but it's forgivable.

The majority of the plot revolves around who is into who, playing cupid, and we even learn about the preferences of the main friend group through their love interests wanting secret intel on them. Almost all the songs they sing are romance songs related to the romantic plot point of the given episode. Yes, there is a core friendship within the show, but it isn't really being explored into any kind of depth just something to enjoyably observe and get a laugh out of in the midst of the real plot of romance and hospital work life.

However, the romance is highly mature and tasteful. The Romance genre in TV is full of badly written and immature couples and romance arc. It was nice to finally witness a majority of decent and realistic relationships. We do also get pretty consistent characters and personalities, so the friendship dynamics are written and feel very authentic.

**SPOILERS**
As for the romance between the leads Song-hwa and Ik-Jun. I don't hate that they end up together. I hate how the ship was introduced and presented throughout the show. PURELY a deduction on technicality. It relied WAY to heavily on screentime and flashbacks (which use to be fun and about the entire friend group until it became solely for them) and the introduction to the potential ship felt unnatural like it was a last-minute decision in the late middle of S1.

I would've enjoyed a slow burn between the Song-hwa and the 1st member of the group she rejected, Seok-hyeog, as the 1st scene of the ENTIRE series is of these two and it is naturally brought up that he asked her out in the past and she rejected him. If they went down a slow burn route for them, I'd buy it, and I might've loved it. I just don't buy Ik-jun and Song-hwa romantic lore as it felt like a forced plot point that I'm only okay with because I really LOVE their characters and the actors play them so well. It really is the directing and writing that I don't like for this couple. I will say the way Song-hwa confessed felt so real and authentic and i'm so thankful they didn't go the dramatic "you almost died so we have to date now" route. The cowardness with these two doesn't sit well with me. They'd realistically talk after Ik-jun confessed he liked her to her NS team 2 years ago and not drag it out. In their defense I love that Song-hwa had a moment with Seok-hyeong as the first person to fully acknowledge she was dating Ik-jun. It warmed my heart that I had to love it too.

The Yang Seok-hyeong and his resident, Chu Min-Ha, was a little iffy for me as I think once the student-teacher admiration wears off it feels like they're settling as there isn't much to them beyond that. I don't think they'd fall in love outside of work but if they did it might have been more lovely.

Jeong-won and Dr. Jang are honestly the couple that makes the most sense and feels natural and healthy as a couple but why they fell in love is nonexistent to me. I don't hate it, I'm confused but happy. For a good minute I wanted Dr. Jang to fall in love with Ik-jun but in the end I'm glad that didn't happen. There is a bit of student-teacher dynamic but I feel like Dr. Jang's personality makes up for that aspect of things. She doesn't live and die by his teaching and guidence. She straight up said "I can't promise you I won't do that again" at one point. I still wish Jeong-won didn't give up on going deeper into his faith and I disliked how they framed the situation but he's Catholic and not Otrhodox Christian (Orthodox Priest can be married with children and work another job). I think I like this couple the best because they actually know each other very well and relying on the other goes both ways. It doesn't for the other couples.

(Ik-jun never told Song-hwa about Ik-sun's condition, Seok-hyeong never went to Min-ha about his family troubles, Ik-sun lied to Jun-wan and Jun-wan didn't talk about what stressed him out to her.)

Jun-wan and Ik-sun is the only relationship I liked as they had a valid reason to be a secret, but man was it out of left field yet I'm thankful they didn't use flashbacks to justify them getting together... I did enjoy Junwan working through his breakup and his frienship with Jeong-won & Dr. Do Jae-hak being put to the test and found innocent and adorable. Him and Ik-jun are adorable too. I truly feel through him I got to see the parts of the friend group I wanted to see more of. I love the piggies. For a hot minute I thought the piggies were going to be a thing and I'm forever grateful it was not.

I hate how the daddy long leg and the children's hospital and the guardian guest house plot points dropped off. Also, the sibling twins were everything for me and I wish they got a nice solid arc but they kind of got mixed in with every other resident & fellow characters. They did love the piggies though so that warmed me up. They are the future piggies. NC and CS.

Personally, I'd like this series more if it kept the friend group 100% platonic and everyone dated outside of the group. Nonetheless I enjoyed it enough. Might watch the 1st season again on a rainy day but not season 2.

My Home

Words are not enough to describe my gratefulness for this show, every time I watched an episode I could feel my energy restored. I felt comfortable and had peace whenever I just sat and take my time to watch the Hospital playlist. I would recommend this K-drama if you're looking for a place where you can find yourself content and happy, then stop reading and watch Hospital Playlist now.

The hospital playlist did go all out with the genres, I love it.

We have a Medical genre that amazed me, they portrayed different types of surgeons and doctors in this K-drama which I find very knowledgeable and it surely kept me going. I love how they make things realistic about the medical genre. This drama would be beneficial for those who want to have a career in medicine and also haven't decided what type of doctor they want to be.

We have the Friendship/Family genre, I especially got attached to this part. I'm obsessed with how the writers, directors, and actors pulled it off. I really felt their bond, like I genuinely think that this whole drama is just a documentary of real people and not just an act. I love the friendship between our Mc's, small things to big things you would notice would make you melt, and I evaporated. One of the Mc's family made me wish that maybe in my second life, I could be reborn and be one of them.

We have a Comedy genre that's always in every episode. Their comedy is my remedy, insert heart wave. You would never get bored at any episode because this show is really funny in its own way. Every character had their personality and slayed it.

We have the Music genre which took me off guard at the first episode, but it was honestly why I fell in love with the Hospital playlist at the very beginning. I love how they really are good at singing and playing instruments. LIKE HELLO, they're already doctors and they know how to play an instrument and sing???! yes, their multi-talented king and Queen. The editors slayed very very much because they know where to insert the right music in the right scene, I literally became a fan.

We have the Romance genre, I love it. I screamed, squealed, smiled, cried, and laugh, in short, the romance genre was better than I expected. I literally live for them, especially Jung-won and Gyeo Wool. OH, I ALSO LOVE MIN HA AND SUK HYUNG, ANDDD-- YK WHAT, EVERYTHING.

I want to talk about them more in dept but my lazy ass can't let me, maybe someday they can let people voice record their reviews--OMG that's a good idea.

In summary, don't waste your time and just watch your future comfort drama, Hospital Playlist.

k-drama constantly delivers epical stories

Everything abt this masterpiece is intended to become epic, with legendary characters & friendship too. Every one of the five doctors - the bunch of friends - is ideally handsome, smart, funny, genius, musician, kind-hearted, loyal etc etc.
Their relationship with food is also idealistic! We get these skinny men and women in their 30's or 40's who keep devouring large meals while staying skinny and not even exercising much!? Girls, this is all a lie, thats why they call it a movie... I can tell that it's appealing to see ppl with a healthy appetite who manage to look fit, but no actors nor doctors nor "common people" would stuff themselves like this. (I guess it'd be no fun if they showed us obese ppl being unable to refrain from food...)
We still get one idea right: doctors marry doctors, thats it.
The rest? As said, it's all legendary... Most difficult cases are solved, the smallest humane details are considered, everything falls into its right place, to the extent that "perfect" is too weak a word to describe this utopian hospital.
Still Hospital 1 & 2 are epic, acting is excellent, you get humour & action & staff, mandatory watch for medical dramas.

Perfection All Around In This Hospital Drama

To say this has been a great series is definitely an understatement. I came to this drama late, season 1 & 2 had already aired. In a way I'm glad, because I don't know how I would have waited for each episode, especially an entire second season. I was able to watch both seasons in a very short period of time. I basically couldn't stop watching it once I started.
These five actors were just so fantastic, matching the amazing characters they portrayed. Each one was special in their own way. I particularly became attached to Ik Jun, as I'm sure a lot of people did. That character was such an amazing personality and Jung Suk, the man behind this doctor, was simply genius. He stole every scene he was in, no matter who else was in it with him. The relationship he had with his son was beyond words. Adorable, magical & special to name a few.
Kyung Ho was another favorite. It was great to watch Jun Wan transform over two season. He was tough on his interns and cold to people outside of his orbit, but you do realize what a warm & caring person he is. It took a while, but he turns into a great character on the show.
The practice sessions the band did in each episode became something you really looked forward to. When they performed "It's My Life", that was their best one, not only singing it, but dressing for it. Being from the U.S., I can honestly say, they were amazing doing this song!!
The flashbacks were just absolute perfection, giving true depth to their close friendship and how far they came through life together at each other's side. You laughed as well as cried through the times these five friends shared, past & present. I'm definitely going to miss not having a season 3. It would have been great to have another 18 or so hours to follow them along their lives together, but the way this series finally ended, I don't think they could have wrapped it up in a better way.
Applause & standing ovation to the actors & writers. An absolutely brilliant job well done!!!

“Hospital Playlist Season 2” continues exactly where Season 1 left off — not with flashy twists or dramatic shocks, but with quiet, everyday miracles. It’s a rare kind of series that finds beauty in simplicity and warmth in the ordinary. Every episode feels like a comforting meal shared with old friends.
What makes this show truly special is its heart. The chemistry among the five doctors — Ik-jun, Jun-wan, Jung-won, Seok-hyung, and Song-hwa — feels as natural as breathing. Their banter, laughter, and small gestures carry more meaning than most grand speeches in other dramas. The friendship they share is genuine, and you can feel years of history in every look and smile.
Season 2 deepens what Season 1 began. The pacing is unhurried, but it’s never dull. It takes time to explore loss, love, faith, and the quiet heroism of ordinary people doing their best. Each patient’s story is handled with tenderness and respect — some heartbreaking, some heartwarming, all deeply human.
The cast is phenomenal, as always. Jo Jung-suk’s effortless charm, Jeon Mi-do’s calm strength, and the ensemble’s chemistry make every scene feel alive. The music, both the band covers and the emotional score, ties everything together like a gentle heartbeat.
“Hospital Playlist 2” doesn’t try to impress — it simply connects. It makes you laugh, cry, and reflect on what really matters: friendship, compassion, and life itself. A masterpiece of warmth and sincerity that reminds us healing isn’t just about medicine — it’s about people.

BEST MEDICAL SLASH SLICE OF LIFE KDRAMA

one of the best and always be my comfort drama, the details in this drama are insane, the intense inside the hospital, the band that they play together (they even took months of lessons just to perfect the songs) the time and effort they put on the practice and drama itself are amazing, and the cast themselves looks so comfortable with each other, the story and plot and every detail omg... 5 of them are the main lead of the drama, and it doesn't make you confused or anything, other cast were perfect too!

A flawless journey, A calmness in the story,A beautiful potrayer of friendship

This drama is so soothing. You'll never feel bore for an once.If you are a medical person you'll definitely can relate with every situation. Or you are a person whose family struggled a lot with a disease you will feel nostalgic damn sure. Ik jun character is my most favourite one,I m really happy for him.His relation with his son is like a sunshine, he has the cutest son. I started missing my dad after watching their interaction. My another favourite character is that cardiologist character. He is the most natural one. He nailed that character. he is straightforward but kind. Their friendship is the most enjoyable thing in this drama. If we have these kind of friends in our life then we simply doesn't need many things in life.

A 100 times rewatchable drama for me. Everyone should try. I will definitely suggest it to my close person ❤️♥️♥️
