The Female leads are independent and not afraid to take on challenges. There is a focus on food in both dramas. Mr. Queen is a time travel drama but still just as good as Dae Jang Geum.

It's a fusion drama!
Somehow the story of My Only Love Song is related to The River Where the Moon Rises, however, the vibes of comedy is similar to Mr. Queen. Because the female lead is a time traveler, people are confused of her language, which is similar to Mr. Queen and the ever so popular "No Touch" phrase.

They have similar plot, a man's soul in a woman's boy and challenges of becoming woman (?), discovering their sexuality, character develepments etc + both show has queer characters + but these 2 shows have different energies

Both are similar in the sense that the lead from the future died and her soul was transported to a woman in ancient history who also died. Both are involved in politics as the female lead is a high borne lady. Both male lead and female lead eventually tackle together politics and usurping corruption while falling in love too. Both "soul transporters" show the same boldness, cooking prowess and funny antics that bewilders the people from the past because it's too different or unheard of yet.

Both dramas involve swapped/mistaken identities and amnesia (or amnesia-like) themes, as well as corruption and mistrustful in-laws. The female leads in both have similar personalities, and the humor/vibe is similar as well.

Time travel for the win. Amazing and fun main lead, secrets, plots etc. Of course nobunaga concerto focuses more on the politics while mr queen on the romance. Still they give off the same feeling.

Faith is my favorite Korean drama featuring time travel. These two dramas share similar concept of time travel, which a modern man in Mr Queen, a modern woman in Faith travelled back to the historical era.

Both dramas are of fantasy genre with different soul in body concept.

- both are gender swap stories
- in mr queen a man time travels into Queen Cheorins body and falls in love with te King
- in coffee prince the FL pretends to be a boy and has a romance with ML, while the ML has to deal with his feelings for (what he thinks) is another man
- different genres but the stories are very similar
- coffee prince was made in 2008 so beware

Mr. Queen is actually a Korean adaptation of Go Princess, Go! which is the prequel to The Princess and the Werewolf. While Qi Pa is not literally from the future like Bong Hwan is, both shows have an unconventional & outspoken FL who's constantly creating elaborate plans - in Qi Pa's case, it's an attempt to escape the Beast Kingdom; in Bong Hwan's case, it's winning over everyone in the palace to ensure her safety. ML in both are very soft and protective and fall very quickly for the FL.

If you loved Mr. Queen, you might enjoy I’m the Most Beautiful Count because…
Both dramas feature a modern person’s soul transported into a historical body, forcing them to navigate unfamiliar eras, strict social hierarchies, and intense personal identity conflicts.
In Mr. Queen, a male chef ends up in the body of a Joseon queen, bringing modern wit, humor, and boldness to the palace’s political intrigue. In I’m the Most Beautiful Count, a present-day LGBTQ actor wakes up in the body of a historical nobleman where same-sex love is forbidden, leading to heartfelt struggles, hidden romance, and LGBTQ huddles.
Both series explore the clash between modern sensibilities and rigid traditions, mixing comedy, romance, and intrigue—though Mr. Queen leans more comedic while I’m the Most Beautiful Count carries a richer dramatic tone.
