Run On

런온 ‧ Drama ‧ 2020 - 2021
Both have representations of powerful women.
Both have a romance while the female lead works for the male lead.
Both feature gay characters with LWF having a super cute couple.
Similarly quirky, realistic characters, similar humor and awkwardness.

The interaction between the two leads is similar. It has the same vibe. Two people who randomly meet and become friends (and more)...

- Sport romances
- Both MLs are athletes
- Both FLs support the ML athlete - translator and club manager
- Both have sport athleisure companies who look for athletes to sponsor their brands
- Both have typical bullies in a team who try to bully ML
- Parents push the male leads in a sport they didn't want to play

Both are pretty calming shows with characters you might have seen but with differences
Main leads are personality-wise very different than typical leads .

quiet, calm romance between the two leads. It should definitely sum up the similarities between the two, not too much drama(the over the top or cringey kind)

Two couples with standalone stories of each
Very light Rom-com and pretty fast paced compared to Run-on
No excessive dramatics, no evil being (a rare for Lakorns i must say)
Well written characters not unique but act logically and not over the top
Character development

Both dramas involve retaired professional athletes and promote physical activities for non-professionals.
If you wish for nice motivational dramas to start doing sports these two are a must.

Ki Sun Gyeom had just quit sprinting when he encountered Oh Mi Joo, who felt that destiny most certainly brought them together. Seo Dan Ah is the CEO of a sports agency and rightful successor to the Seomyung Group. Despite this, she is held back from advancing in the company due to her gender. Could romance be in the cards for these two couples?

The back story is totally different, but the personality of both FL are very simillar
- Similarities:
----- Both FL have a "dark" past
----- They dont like opening up
----- Are very conscious of their monetary gain
----- Are very strong willed and "mean"
----- Seen as a strong female

- PS:
----- ML's families hate the FL
----- ML from Run On is very similar (personality wise) to the second ML's
----- At least the FL from Run On is actually really likeable

Both dramas give similar vibes, heartwarming and comforting.
Meet yourself is more comforting and a healing drama where Run on is mix of both, well balanced mixture of healing and comfort and comedy.
In both dramas, the main leads have a great chemistry and understanding. There is no great misunderstanding and has mature female leads.
In Meet yourself Hongdou suffers from burnout from work and realises the importance of life. In run on, the ML goes through a career dilemma as well.
If you liked Meet yourself, I am sure you will like run on as well. 100% recommended.

The overall set up is somewhat similar; both have a romance that arises while the female lead works for the male lead. The cinematography and the writing is also somewhat reminiscent of each other, especially the lines the female lead has.
