Slow To Start
I started this in July 2022 & finished on April 30, 2022. I had to stop & restart a few times. It's a cute series and the actors were fun. Of course you have your typical Korean Chairman/Fathers who think they know the what's best for everyone around them. The ML in this drama took me a little while to get used to. The FL, I loved her from the start.
The rest of the supporting cast were very good. Lots of familiar faces here.
I'm not usually a Sports-themed drama person so I won't be rewatching.

Not Like Every Other Rom-com
Honestly this drama is so refreshing like I really can't stress that enough, it's not too realistic as if like a reality check but it isn't completely fantasy like either, it is so far one of my most favourite romance dramas like idek what to say if anyone claims that leads don't have enough chemistry because they CLEARLY do and it's so sweet to watch , I especially like how the character of both the leads (male and female) is different and unique when compared to other romance dramas and that really adds to the refreshing feeling..and omg the dialogues are so well written and at some point you might just end up shipping female lead and the second female lead XD. This drama is SO good with their words and dialogues bro can't stress this enough. I dont really have many things i disliked about it except that it is pretty slow but then that doesnt really matter much unless you are not a fan of slow burn- overall tho this drama this is literally SO much to my liking and I AM SO GLAD that I started watching this, I have no idea why some people be not liking this I mean it's understandable if you're not a fan of romance but i-- you missing out on some REALLY good binge worthy drama. Another plus point is that it is one of the least cliche-ish dramas that I have ever watched. also a very motivating drama that gives you hope for life hahaAlso not to mention, the OSTs are so so good! i think i most importantly i liked how the story isnt too intense or too light and like a perfect balance between the two. even tho there are not many plot twists, its still very interesting and a really unique romcom. Oh also ye it has sport aspects too!

Life is a Marathon, a Guide by Oh Mi-Joo (and Ki Sun Gyeom!)
This is the kind of drama that feels like a morning in spring and everything is slow and soft and kind.I originally liked Shin Se Kyung in QSD, and in this drama, she is as soothing as ever. Oh Mi Joo is a translator, and by some events she repeatedly met Ki Sun Gyeom in passing, before finally making acquaintance with him.
What I liked the most about this drama is that for me, this is a character driven story as much as it is a plot driven one. The characters aren't just pretty face. They have depth, principles, and different characterization that makes their scenes alive.
While Ki Sun Gyeom is more detached, calm and naive, Oh Mi Joo is honest, open and i think a bit wise as well. These contrast were my favorite one because in some way and another, they slowly find that they complete each other in a way as they navigate through life.
Both are kind and intelligent, and both are laid-back and simple.
While our other couple, the CEO Seo Dan Ah and Lee Yong Hwa has a more dramatic relationship, in a sense that Dan Ah is someone who's not familiar with intimacy and love, and Lee Yong Hwa is passionate and unabashed in his love. But they are cute and I think has more fire than the other couple because they both are too calm...
But all in all, I really recommend this if you are looking for a simple drama to watch in between study or work session, and whether you are in the right headspace of not, i think you can still enjoy this drama as it's not so heavy and conflicted.
Happy running!

As light as you can get
If you're looking for a light, and i mean really light, romcom, this might be it. It delivered well with the cute and comedic scenes and i often felt myself swooning for and laughing with the characters in the moment. However, I think there is a lot of wasted potential due to how plot points were handled. Most conflicts were left with little to no consequence, so the heavy moments (which where acted well by the cast) often felt lacklustre in comparison to the acting. It appeared as if characters where crying their heart out for things that didn't warrant that much emotion. Maybe because the conflicts where rarely fleshed out but more on presented to tease you and then abandoned altogether, often giving a simple or random solution. Considering we had two couples that were made up of fairly interesting characters whose actors had pretty good chemistry, i felt like the series could have been so much more if it had not tried to keep every single conflict so light. Halfway through (or maybe even less than 8 episodes in), I lost interest in the first couple (runner and translator) and was only waiting for the development of the second couple (ceo and painter). Even the friendship between the two main female leads were more interesting for me than the first couple.Overall though, it wasn't all that bad. If you want anything light, that you can watch without much concern or with little attention, this really is for you.

Light ,fluffy, but not lucking in substance
When I started to watch Run On I thought that it will be just another mid of the road rom com but I was pleasantly surprised. Run On is everything a romantic drama should be!! Light ,fluffy, but not lucking in substance! I found my self laughing and swooning over the two leads like a teenage girl!At first, I thought that we will be getting another drama with the usual cold, emotionless male lead! But boy was I wrong. He was just so amazingly weird and OMG so cute and sweet!! He was not you usual rich spoiled heir! He always went out of his way to help other and his journey to self love and the impact the female lead had on him was a pleasure to watch.
When it comes to the female lead, I think she is probably the best female lead in all K-Dramaland and definitely my all time favourite!
She was strong, independent, smart, spoke her mind but most importantly was not psychotic . Usually k-dramas writers show us leads with psychotic, abusive and violent tendencies as strong and expect us to be happy that they gave us a strong female lead! NO! This drama showed that you can be strong and standing your ground without having to stab someone or be unnecessary aggressive!
The 2 of them make one of the healthier, sweetest and realest k drama couples out there! Every scene they had together make me smile and swoon like a teenager, some thing that , being the cynic that I am never though will happen to be again!
Many said that this is a slow drama, but I personally did not think so, maybe it was because I was so invested to the characters and their journey that I found each episode has something interesting. The character development of each character was done so beautify and the way is supposed to happen. It wasn’t sudden because of a shocking event. It was gradual and logical.
I would really recommend this in a heat beat to everyone that is looking for a light drama, with mature characters, that has all the ingrediency of a romance drama without much angst. I mean there is 1 character, but his impact is so small and the characters so mature that it doesn’t really affect the plot nor your viewing experience.

This drama has in on my “To watch list” on Netflix
And am sure that I’ve regretted putting off the urge to watch this instead of completing other dramas. A non toxic drama with happy endings? Awesome casts? Interesting plot? You definitely have it all in this drama! When I first came across the series, I’ve wondered how they would link the title and storyline, but the writers did it! It came out magnificent! I really liked Siwan’s character albeit ditzy; it’s very alluring. And Sekyung’s character? She’s definitely a strong-willed woman IMO! Not to mention Sooyoung’s acting! Some of her scenes really capture me and had me reaching out for more tissues.
I would say the chemistry between the casts were superb. Which is really important, else, you’ll find several scenes being a little awkward (like some other dramas).
This is one of the few series I wouldn’t mind rewatching if I have time! (That’s because there’s always good k dramas upcoming)

Best drama of 2021
This is the best drama I've seen this year. This is a drama about attraction and how it grows in a way very similar to what we see in real life, how different people get to know each other and find common ground and connect, and everyday situations and how people behave with all the awkwardness and hilarity and earnestness!I've recommended it to so many people who also ended up loving it (including my boyfriend who started running again after watching this). This drama is brilliantly written and well-directed and produced.. The characters are all cleverly written, fleshed out, and very compelling (the acting and casting is spot-on). After watching episode 1 (particularly the pub street encounter scene), I was wowed how they wrote it, I found myself hooked. The writing is just so good that it feels deeper and richer after some rewatches. I am so happy I watched it. This drama inspired me to take on a couple of things I've always wanted to do in life, including picking up a third language (Korean)--and it was OMJ's scene where she said she decided to be a translator to act as a bridge to two languages that inspired me to learn Korean.

A GOOD DRAMA WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
I had high hopes for this drama, because I am an athlete myself. The show started out really strong and there were many defining moments that I can think of where the show went against the norms and clichés and stood out and even portrayed and touched on social issues. The female lead was specially mesmerizing, and the other cast members and characters were also good. But with all of that being said, the show slightly misses its mark in the second half, and there were some parts which felt unnecessary. Some things at the last few episodes felt like some lazy writing which was neither here nor there. But despite some small blunders, the show doesn't fall apart, and it finished strong. Overall the show was a good experience. It is obviously flawed and it isn't a masterpiece, but it is GOOD, which is good enough. It could have been better, but then again it also could have been worse. Is it a must watch? NO. Would I recommend it? YESWas this review helpful to you?

Drama about self-care & personal growth
This drama is everything I wanted and more. I started this drama because I wanted a feel-good. It has given me so much more!« You just focus on what’s in front of you and do things step by step »
In this drama, romance is not the primary theme. Yes, we know it is present, but the focus is more on the characters' personal growth.
The hero is not talking much at first, but slowly, he opens up to our heroine. We could say that he is a damaged hero because of his dysfunctional family, he never had the opportunity to do what he wants with his life and was a puppet for his father’s political career. Despite his hardships in the past, the hero remains a pure and humble soul. He does not hesitate to ask questions and to look for information when he does not know something.
Personal growth : The heroine asks the hero reflective questions. He thinks about them and looks for answers in the course of the story. He learns little by little to love himself and to put himself first in his life
Romance : Communication & great chemistry of our main couple, slow burn
I particularly liked that the second couple was different from usual. The chaebol girl is not insufferable like in many other dramas.
This is not a usual drama : new twists and unexpected turns. I love it. When watching a drama, I enjoy stereotypes, but also being surprised. Here, I was surprised more than once.
OST: good.
Major Themes:
- self love, self discovery, fighting for what you want, ‘adulthood crisis’, personal growth
- trust, social awkwardness, adapt & overcome,
- violence in sports, bullying,
- dysfunctional family
Minor Themes: sexual orientation, bribery, orphans

A Pool of Delicacies
I think this was one of the most comfortable watches I've ever had.It was a pleasure watching all the characters interact with each other. Everyone was unique. They differ so much from your usual drama stereotypes, that I was always excited to see what they were doing next. I never got frustrated about things and there was not one boring moment. Why? Because every character had an interesting approach towards their acting partners, whether it was the ML with the FL, or the ML with the SML, or the FL with the SFL or the SML with the SFL. Or with everyone else who showed up, for example, the FL's best friend/colleague or the secretary of the SFL. I was able to sit back and relax and wait for new fun moments.
Especially Ki Seon Gyeom. Im Shi Wan gave him such a special touch, that it feels difficult to see anyone else doing it. He's always so pure and looks innocent, but when it comes to face serious situations, he shows an unknown backbone and strength.
Shin Se Kyung. I know she's an either hate or love actress for many people. Well, let me tell you that she was lovely in this. Her acting was harmonious and well balanced with Im Shi Wan.
My secret favorite though was Kang Tae Oh (SML). Damn, that man. I'm in love. I've never seen someone as charming as him. I can't even describe how much I looked forward to his scenes. Whether it was with his love interest or Im Shi Wan or... well, anyone else. He was the light in every scene.
The sole a*** in this, the only one, you could possibly get angry with was the ML's father. Well, someone had to play the devil, right?
