Episode Title: The Search for Gao Bing Zhu
Gao Bing Zhu is under interrogation when they get an imperial edict from the empress. Wu Si Yue is given the job of solving the case with the informer. Baili Hong Yi resigns his position and refuses his arranged marriage. Wu Si Yue goes to a meeting blindfolded. She wants to investigate Gao Bing Zhu. Gao Bing Zhu confesses that he killed the prisoner for revenge because he killed his family. When Gao Bing Zhu is transferred, someone tries to kill him. Before Gao Bing Zhu can learn more, his attacker is killed. They find four bodies but no prisoner and the city goes on a manhunt for Gao Bing Zhu. They search the casino, but don't find him. Baili Hong Yi gets a letter and an invitation to meet up. Gao Bing Zhu returns to the Unwelcome Well to get answers about a weapon and learns it may be linked to the Baili family. I am not a big fan of these types of dark mystery genre-type dramas. I don't get what's happening. I am literally giving it a try for WYB. I understand what's going on as far as what has happened but it's confusing to me. There's a chunk of information that is missing for me to understand what's happening, what is the main point in the mystery that the MC GBZ is trying to solve. I have so many questions...like what does this informant case have to do with what GBZ is trying to solve?I wouldn't say it's an absolutely great introduction to the plot imo but it is interesting enough to grab my attention because I wanna know the reason for the mc's actions...which is still unclear to me, either because I missed something and didn't catch/understand it, or they still haven't gotten to that part yet. Like I said, I'm confused.
