Strange three way relationship with a bear
I have managed to binge watch the series. I am in two minds about it. I liked that it was different took me through different emotions. Touched on a lot of issues within family like sexuality, jealousy, anger and trauma. It was a good effort. I know a lot of people don’t like the ending at least there is mixed reviews about it but i found the ending fitting is some ways and weird and strange in others. The strong feeling being weird. To be frank its almost as though it ended with a three way relationship between Tarn, Nut and Tofu the teddy bear.WHAT I DDINT LIKE-
- Nut and how he was as a son to his mum. His mother was clearly ill but he had no regard and treated her harshly through most of the series. Pretty much ignored her.
-His treatment of Tofu, Tofu was used as physical and emotional punching bag and it did nt change through the whole series . I found this disturbing, its clear he had issues but all he did was lash out.
-The lack of consequences for the guilty parties is ridiculous.
- No real explanation on how on earth Tofu looked like Neung?? I mean come on.
- WHY DID WE HAVE TO HAVE LESBIAN RELATIONSHIP JUST THROWN IN THERE??
Would i rewatch- nope. Is it work investing 16 x1.5hrs of my life somewhat, OST unmemorable

I can't believe I wasted 1440 minutes of my life to watch this shit. esp ep 16 too much cgi going on I was laughing in pain as I remembered how I was made a fool by watching 2gether the series. I ask myself yyy the disappointing part of this is that the main character is an inanimate object I was thinking that since Tofu had a connection with Tatarn then he had to beat Anton imagine my shock to realise they are two different entities had it been that the teddy bear went back to its original body it would have made absolute sense by what the hell is this crap waste of time. The ridiculous part where the teddy bear was running away from the dog and still had the energy to pick up a slippers as a m************ Cinderella going after his Prince charming then the so-called 'Cinderella' watches his Prince charming getting together with his ex until they are going to get married then he does this kind of weird voodoo shit in a dream he comes back to being human again they make out really I waste one and a half hours every day to watch this f****** episode disappointing 0 stars. Abusive
This series reminds me of Chinese BLs Toxic to the end implying that living an alternative life style brings you nothing but grief. Giving this series a high rating despite the abusive story line is not ok to me. The ML gets treated like dirt after he has done nothing but try to bring joy to others to the end. SMH, I would have been happier if they showed the bear in a thrift store having a second chance at a better life. Its not ok to reward those who are selfish and toxic to those in their lives. Was this review helpful to you?

Liked it a 100 percent until episode 7
I was really enjoying this series. It was very cute in the beginning. I reallly enjoyed the character's especially tofu. The side couple are adorable. It has tongue in cheek humor. The reason i rated it the way i did is because of the abuse of nut's mom and if tofu. I think it takes it a bit to far and it made me uncomfortable. Mental health is such a delicate situation and i think in this case it was poorly done. The ease it took for Nut to punch tofu was unacceptable as well. If it wasnt for those two concerns i would have rated it a 10.

It was a golden BL in this Era??
First, this BL has a lakorn Splash, which is quite unique on those BL that is plotted in universities and engineers and doctors on which is quite boring and cliché. The chemistry between the actors are really good and their acting skills were really great. I’ve noticed that some people doesn’t like Nut’s impulsive character but, for me, it was valid because of his nightmarish past. Also, TOFU IS REALLY REALLY CUTE!!! My 1 hour and 30 minutes every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night wasn’t wasted. This BL lakorn deserves more recognition from the people. I really pity those people who didn’t or haven’t watched this drama because, they’ve missed this ONE OF A KIND BL DRAMA. ✨💗💗🧸Was this review helpful to you?
I love the chemistry between Nut/Tofu character.Kensit /Song the 2nd ''couple'' is growing on me as well (just loose the ugly glasses Kensit).
Music is top notch. Highly re-watchable tv show, especially the fluffy love moments.

a lot of abuse is going on here
i don’t understand why i keep watching this. i guess i am just curious to see how the story ends. but shit, this show is very upsetting. nut is so abusive, physically and emotionally, and his hot/cold attitude is so sickening. i need that man in therapy NOW. i’ve been giving him the benefit of the doubt for too long. tofu is very adorable. i wish he knew that there were other people out there who could love and cherish him way better than nut. i’m praying for nut’s mom as well. hope she gets betterWas this review helpful to you?

Unbearable
The main caracters are unbereable, only the mother is a little relatable to me.The way Tofu let everyone treat him like a fool gets on my nerves, all the time been abused an treated like a nuisance by his loved one.
Unnecesary drama for q very toxic relationship.
I could not realate or get pulled by the story in fact i had to fast forward to so many scenes that made me drop the series.
The actors are very good looking Incan give them that, otherwise not worth my time.
Actually I can say not at all my cup of tea.
Really, really slow and painfully boring to me.
Sorry

Not an ordinary love BL
Originally, I didn't want to watch this series at all. Sixteen ninety-minute episodes didn't particularly appeal to me, but since my pen pal friend was convicing me about a year that I should watch it, I thought I'd give it a chance. Partly also to give me a break with this XD.The first episodes didn't excite me in any way, in large part because of Nut, who was really not easy to find my way to and like him. But then the flashbacks came and the more his past was revealed, the more I understood his behavior. Nut seems like an complicated character at first, but his past gives meaning to every bad word that comes out of his mouth. Tofu, on the other hand, is a total cutie. They are like yin and yang with Nut.
Teddy bear differs from other romantic BLs in that it is not just about a romantic line. In addition to love, various other topics such as domestic violence, parental homophobia, toxic family relationships, separation and many others are dealt with. Things were happening in the background all the time, which at first seemed to be unimportant, but eventually fit perfectly into the main storyline. Finding out that Song is actually Nueng's brother, that Prim knows Tarn, the assault investigation, the extremely annoying neighbor whose eyes I'd rather gouge out... All of this was directly related to Nut and somehow fit into his story. If even one detail were missing, the whole story would change from the ground up.
I knew how the story would end, so some things weren't that shocking to me. It made certain things make sense to me before their meaning was revealed, and what some people feared, I looked forward to.
Despite all that, the last two episodes got me. During them, all the emotions in me alternated, but in the end it still ended with joy. The ending was exactly what this story called for.

A work of art in acting and script, but exhausting and not for everyone
Writing this cause I'm tired of people misunderstanding this show. People are allowed to dislike things, and I absolutely would not recommend this to everyone, but to say this has a 'bad ending' feels weird. To start off, THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL BL. The purpose of this show is not romance. If you want to watch a show just to ship the cp and have your cute gay boys kissing (nothing wrong with that!!), this is not the show for you. This show at it's core is a giant loud and angry message about intergenerational trauma and how not respecting your kids will lead to years of pain and suffering for everyone. It's about painful character growth. It's about a pure being (Tofu) that was born out of unconditional love, discovers how awful, but complex humans are. He slowly takes away the covers and unveils the truth of Nut's life and history.
This was the first bl ever to be aired on mainstream TV. It did not hold back in its gayness. The main character is a complicated gay man who will and has yelled that he is gay. He's a bl scriptwriter who unsurprisingly wants to write a script that doesn't want to be a simple cute school love story. He wants it to be real cause gay people are more complex than what is often shown in bls. Now I'm not one to believe in the whole bl =/= lgbt media. I think that's silly. However I do think that Miracle of Teddy Bear is one of the best when it comes to displaying queer anger and pain, as well as queer joy. Not that other shows don't, but this one does it in a way where it's very clear that the writers had an agenda and a message.
The acting is phenomenal. Job is just... everything. First of all, he's pretty and his smile is an absolute treasure. He does an incredible job in portraying all of Nut's complexities. Nut is a character of extremes. He is volatile and is always one small trigger away from going off and taking out his anger at the nearest person. But he's in so much pain. He's suffered so much for so long and is so tired. However when he's happy and in love it's the purest and simplest love. And Job just GETS it. That's also why I said his smile is a treasure. Nut is angry or depressed through most of the show. When he smiles it's like "what do you mean such a character has such a cute smile?"
Inn is really good at playing a bear. Tofu is silly and awkward and way too innocent and clueless about everything. That's how he's supposed to be! He's a blank slate. Just a little bear thrown into a cruel world to show how absolutely bonkers it is for things to be the way they are. Inn was perfect.
The rest of the actors were great as well.
As for the script, it was really well written. This show has some of the best written/complex characters I've ever seen in a bl (and show in general). Everyone has a reason for being the way they are. Nobody is perfect. They feel so tangible. The way the backstory and reveals were laid out was well done. You're given bits and pieces and are left to analyze each creating your own theories, but are often ultimately wrong. You're given just enough information to get some idea, but still in search of more. It's really well thought out.
The only low score I can give this show is its rewatchability. It's not very rewatchable. Once you know everything the reveals don't give you *as much* of a thrill and surprise. Also... it's long and exhausting. It feels like a marathon. Every episode is filled to the max with information and emotion. It really is an emotionally draining show. It keeps hitting you and hitting you with painful moments with very little time to recuperate. It's a show I hesitate to rewatch as much as I love. I probably will some day though.
About that ending!! (spoilers...)
.
.
.
Personally, Tofu is just a symbol. I'm so sorry Tofu, but that's really all he is. Tofu comes to life through the love Tarn has for Nut. Tofu is basically a catalyst for Nut's character growth (as well as bringing Nut's family together). Nut needed someone to give him a push and support him at his side. Tofu personally just wants to be by Nut's side, ideally as a teddy bear (which remember is a very important gift, so teddy bear ver tofu is very special too!). However, Tofu being human also means Tarn (Nut's original bf he could never date openly!) is stuck in a coma. If Tofu is human. Tarn is either stuck in a coma or will die. That is not a happy ending. Tofu 'dying' and turning back into a teddy bear means that Tarn can live. It also means that Nut and Tarn can finally have the life they deserve and weren't able to have due to homophobia.
So basically, it is a happy ending for Nut. Cause remember he never really stopped loving Tarn. That's still one of the most influential and beloved people in his life). Tofu was never meant to stay, but his presence allowed for Nut to move on from the past and find his happiness.

MY REVIEW OF “THE MIRACLE OF TEDDY BEAR"
Created from a novel and adapted into a Thai BL series directed by Paajaew Yuthana Lorphanpaibul, “The Miracle of Teddy Bear” intrigued me for years—and I finally watched it.
P.S. From what I initially researched, I learned that the story revolves around sadness and emotional themes. That’s actually why I avoided it at first—I’m not a fan of shows that are too sad or emotionally heavy. But this one? Hmm… let’s find out.
First of all, this is my first time reviewing a series—but hear me out…
I'm not someone who watches BLs with too many explicit scenes. I prefer shows that focus on chemistry, storyline, and plot twists. And this series? It’s one of a kind—I loved it. It didn’t disappoint me at all. Instead of focusing on physical intimacy, it centers on emotional connections, plot development, and unexpected twists.
Honestly, I feel like many BL series today rely too much on explicit content—maybe to gain more views because a lot of fans expect that. But for someone like me who values deep storytelling and real chemistry, this series was perfect. I highly recommend it—alongside Together The Series. Let me tell you why.
Why you should watch this:
This series is perfect for anyone who wants:
• Strong chemistry between characters
• A meaningful plot
• Plot twists that keep you guessing
• Emotional depth and excellent acting
From the very first episode, it caught my attention—and that’s exactly what I want in a series. The first episode should capture the viewer’s heart, and this one definitely did. If you're into “enemies-to-lovers” tropes, you’ll enjoy this. It’s not exactly enemies, but Mr. Nut is hot-tempered, while Taohu is sweet, submissive, and just gives off “cute little puppy” energy—LOL! Their contrast makes them a perfect match. Sometimes, opposites really do attract.
Key Elements:
Plot:
The story really hooked me from the very beginning until the end. Is it predictable? Hmm… You know what, as I dove into more episodes, I thought it was going to be a boring story—because every time I watch a series that involves something miraculous or reincarnation, it’s usually easy to guess: the person will come back and live happily ever after. But this story? It wasn’t planned the way I thought. There were a lot of twists that kept me hooked.
When they showed flashbacks or little peeks of what really happened, those moments had big stories behind them. It’s not just what you see on the surface—there’s so much more, and that’s why you can’t predict what will happen in the end. It keeps you engaged. You’ll make guesses and assumptions, but jumping to the last episode, all we know is that Taohu died and was cremated. And I was thinking, “How could they cremate him if Taohu wasn’t really a person?” I thought that might be a plot hole, but it’s not.
After a couple of minutes, there was a scene where the cremator told Nut and Mrs. Mathana that there were no ashes—and that answered my question. But okay, there are still some loopholes in that scene… like how did the bracelet not melt under that high temperature? And how did the teddy bear escape from the cremation? But nevertheless, those holes didn’t ruin the series at all. It’s still worth watching.
Also, if you only watch half of the show, you won’t even know who the real villain is. That’s what made me so intrigued and pushed me to finish it. I loved it! I really didn’t expect that person to be the villain.
Characters:
My teacher once said, “Characters are the most important element in a story.” This series proved that to be true.
• Nut – Hot-headed, easily angered, and has deep family grudges. But his character develops throughout the series, becoming more grounded and mature. His acting felt so real.
• Taohu – Sweet, innocent, and incredibly brave. He plays a huge role in Nut’s transformation. He’s not just a “soft” character—he’s strong in his own way. One scene that stood out: when Nut’s ex came back into the picture and Taohu bravely allowed them to meet. That takes strength. Taohu also plays a key role in healing and changing the family dynamics.
(While I’m only highlighting the leads, every character—from supporting roles to second leads—performed so well. Each one had depth.)
Acting:
I've watched series that looked good at first but failed due to weak acting. That’s not the case here.
The emotions in this series felt raw and real. It didn’t feel like they were acting—it felt like watching real people live their lives. When the characters cried, I cried. When they were hurt, I felt that hurt. Their delivery of lines, their expressions, and the emotional weight they carried—it all pulled me in.
No cringe, just authenticity. That’s rare.
Visuals & Music:
Despite the fact that this was produced a few years ago, the visuals still hold up well. As for the music—well done. It fits perfectly with the mood and story (no need to say more—just watch and feel it yourself).
Final Thoughts:
This series is way better than many explicit BLs out there. It shines in its chemistry, acting, plot, and story structure. You can really tell that the creators studied the story deeply. They cared.
But… I wish there were a Season 2. The ending left me hanging. It didn’t fully explain how the villain got away—though there was a narration (I think from Taohu or Tathan?) saying the villain couldn’t be punished by law because of their power and wealth. Still, I wasn’t satisfied with that alone.
I really hope for a continuation. (I even found a fan-made Season 2 and it made me feel a bit better LOL.)
Sadly, Inn Sarin (Taohu) left and moved to GMMTV. I don’t really like the path he took, especially with his new series being too explicit—but I’ll forever appreciate his work here.
My Rating: 9.9/10
There were some minor plot holes, but they didn’t ruin the experience. This series now has a special place in my heart. I cried my eyes out after finishing it—probably because the actors were too good. I LOVED IT TO THE HIGHEST!
