Yes, Gu Jun was the best choice. He is loyal, fearless and true. Now I understand why he tried to stop Houchi and Quimmu dating.
the marriage was interrupted.. they didnt finish the wedding cuz houchi came in time to stop it.. after she stabs him, he fainted.. and throughout the episodes he made it very clear to her that he doesn't love her and she already knew who he loves.. he always kept his distance and i didnt see anywhere jing zhao touching him except the scene she took him and dissapear after the stabbing scene..and i dont think they live in same room.. if im not wrong i think in ep 46 he decided to break their marriage drama n ask her to leave, thats why she poisoned him..
Every time I read about this marriage I get chills. It was definitely Bai Jue's worst idea, even if it's fake.

It's the first drama I see from Xu Kai. And I'm in love. Liu Xueyi is perfect in this role. I've also only seen episode 38 so far. I feel like there's a lot of suffering in the next few episodes, but I'm completely overwhelmed by the story. Li Hongyi was really amazing in Love Better Than Immortalitty, one of my favorite dramas.
Oh okay. I'm looking forward to what's next even though I know it's going to hurt a lot. Love Better Than Immortality is one of my favs too.

We all know Shang Gu will win Wu Han can’t bet the Chief of Chaos is the most powerful even if Wu han becomes a Devil god she still can’t bet Shang Gu
@tasha I know I'm going to suffer with Bai Jue's plans, but I can imagine how desperate it is for him too, to suffer alone and in silence. What you said is very real, he struggles to give Sanggu everything she loves but himself.
Yeah at first I thought whom I miss the most is the lovable Qingmu but at the end of the novel I just cried endlessly for Bai Jue. His perseverance is top notch. His pain is real. And he's so selfless. It must have been a hard 60k years for him to endure.

(I agree. But I but I would add Cheng Y.)-And I want to watch "Love never fails", the xianxia with Liu Xiu Yi (in which he is the protagonist) with Crystal Yuan. And he plays a god again.

I also think it's weird because he's so powerful. Almost nothing can affect Bai Jue. But I believe it's because he hasn't fully regained his strength. Even so, I hoped he wouldn't fall easily.
If he’s poisoned that easily the only reason would is if his strength is still low. However as calm, aware and in tune that he is, I believe he allowed it to draw out all involved in doing evil and hurting Houchi/Shanggu. At the wedding he looked like he wanted to choke her and her momma but he had to stay calm.
Also if he’s easily poisoned and dies then his plan is useless so I’m hoping he’s just acting to draw out the evil doers. I don’t know what the writer is thinking but this stuff may be for extra drama and to give Shanggu time to recover as well while Bai Jue is weeding people out. We will see
