Despite the drama being short I think it was well paced. Of course after watching every episode you just feel like what the episode is over already?? The story itself is a cliché, but since the drama is short it doesn't drag at all. The acting was good and all I could say is that Hye Mi's mom is a mood. When fantagio said it was a bromance I was like okay I'm still watching. I've had my fair share of bromance and bl dramas and all I could say is that this is definitely not just a bromance. I hope there could be a second season, but I guess we'll see.

Hopeful future for K-BLs

As some other people have stated, I was also a bit skeptical when I heard that there was a Korean BL, but I knew I had to give it a try and I totally loved it. It was such a cute story that, although full of cliches, managed to deliver nice emotions and a feel-good type of ending.

I really loved the combination of the characters' personalities, their realization of love and how they fought in their own ways to be on each other's side.

Since this was such a short story, the going abroad and forced breakup wasn't really annoying, and instead it actually felt like it was the right way to build the story up. I loved their final encounter and how they were still so into each other.

Really cute story, I just wish we could get at least a season 2 to get more of Han Tae Joo and Kang Gook.

Something about this BL felt different! Maybe its just this beautiful mix of deep emotions and guilty pleasure, where the actors made the fantasy so believable, or the combination of soft happy with light angst but it just works! The main leads had phenomenal chemistry and the writing was pretty great. I watched both versions, on viki and I watched it again a third time xD and I would HAPPILY watch it again. But I personally felt the version without the VOs just hit harder for some reason. And most of the time I was crying and it wasn't even that sad lol but it was... hard to explain. Anyway i always keep saying if Korea started doing BL they would be epic, because just look at Method, and its finally happened! Lets hope they give us a lot more now. And of course I'd love to see t hese two again!

I have never been a fan of BL mostly because of the fact that most bls ive seen were thai bls that contain unconsented stuff which turned to love which felt so uncomfortable for me forcing someone to do something will not autimatically make them like you and today more than ever consent should be present and shoulnt be ignored and that is what i liked in this show it wasnt sexual it was just about two guys in love and wanting to be happy and the actors really did a good job not making it seem forced and the chemistery they haddd waaaaaah
my only complaint is that having eight 10 minute eps made it feel too weird imagine if this was a full on show with plot now thats something lets just hope we will see this in the future
and as an ost enthusiast this one just hit the spot the op was too good and fitting

I went into this not expecting much since it’s only 8 episodes with 10min each. Yet, even with the short amount of time, the story was well-paced and the main leads had amazing chemistry.
Even the rest of the cast did a really good job with each of their characters.

Honestly, if they had the budget and run-time of regular kdramas (like 30 min- 1hr with 16 episodes) it would’ve fleshed out the plot and characters. While I was watching each episode, I could actually visualize in my head what more they could do with the story. The emotional impact would’ve been even greater too (not saying that the story as is didn’t have that impact because it did totally affect me).

I really liked the songs and am gonna look them up. However, some of the background music/instrumentals were kind of off for certain scenes (not complaining though because they probably had limited bg music choices idk).

Anyway, as a whole I’d rate this a 10/10. It’s short and sweet; I highly recommend it and I’d totally watch it again. Hopefully this will jumpstart more Korean BL dramas in the future (I honestly can’t wait!)

And yes, right after watching the last episode today, I immediately made an account here to rate this and write a review. That’s how much I liked this drama!

I honestly loved it and I too, like others, wish there was another season. I love finding new actors/actresses and having something refreshing and that's kind of what this was, refreshing in a way. It wasn't anything complicated honestly, it was a good BL that showed the signs that most of not all LGBT teens/adults go through when they basically fall in love with their best friends or they're figuring out their sexuality and you're just feeling so confused because what is this feeling ya know? I believe Han Gi Chan and Jang Eui Su are gonna grow so rapid in popularity because they did so fantastic to have on screen chemistry for something that's like an hour long, if that. It hits the feels for when you harbor a crush on someone but you have no idea and it's just a secret you have to battle and man, this show was honestly just so good. I also liked the understanding from everyone, in a way, of course not everyone but like some ya know? To have LGBT acceptance in South Korea and just being Asian in general is just nice. Not everyone was supportive or will be but it was just good. I liked it. Good show to watch.

Recommend Watching

Let's start off like this:
I didn't know I would like this drama, but let me tell you I fell in love after the first episode.

I don't get why people don't like this drama, or are leaving bad reviews; but this drama is great. I know it's a little short, and I would've liked if it was longer, but it is one of the most perfect dramas ever. I think the leads are perfect together, and the story line was a roller coaster of emotions.

I really liked that they made this BL drama cause it is literally everything, and it goes to show that even BL makes people's hearts flutter like mine. I really want them to make another drama together! I also want more Korean BL dramas cause this is one of a kind. I don't think any other BL drama could beat this, but i'm willing to see more.

I know that this type of romance is taboo is a lot of countries including South Korea, but I don't see what is so wrong with this stuff. The heart wants what it wants, and nobody can change that(unless they fall in love with someone else lol. )I absolutely loved this drama, and I'd definitely recommend watching even re-watching this. The chemistry in this drama is everything, and I'd pay to watch this type of story again. I really disliked how short this was, but it's okay. I hope they make a season two with the same actors please, i'm begging you!

Now if you guys have a problem with my statement please feel free to dislike this if that button is available(My first time writing reviews on here so I don't know if that button exists, forgive me if I made a mistake.)

PLEASE WATCH THIS DRAMA; I SWEAR IT IS NOT A WASTE OF TIME AT ALL. DON'T LISTEN TO THE OTHER COMMENTS THAT MAKE THIS DRAMA SEEM LIKE A WASTE PLEASE AND THANK YOU,( I mean everyone can have an opinion, but with some reason, sooo whateve's). JUST WATCH IT PLEASE, AND thank you!

"Where your eyes linger" is very short, honestly the only complaint I can think of is that I'd love for it to be longer. That being said, the writers and director did a great job developing the characters and the story with what time they had. I quickly came to like the characters, moreover, it was captivating to follow them as they figure out their feelings. I am definitely going to rewatch this shortly (probably more than once if I'm honest).

10/10 would recommend this to anyone who wants to watch a good story.

I'd also like to add that I liked the way this was shot - everything looks great to me:)

I know I might be hyping the show up when I say this is the best korean bl in ages but compared to what has come out in Korea in the past this is really the best. The story was really good and i knew if more Korean producers and directors would try to make really well made bls they would have so many fans all over their series just as long as no one dies or goes to jail. For me personally I feel like Korea has really great series in all my experiences in watching Asian dramas. They make such amazing heterosexual dramas but almost no bl series and if they do have any drama or movie's with any LGBTQ characters they are almost 10 years old. So now to the series I'm not going to be spoiling the plot so you can have the opportunity to watch it yourself but I will say if you wont be disappointed with the end. The only downside because Korea doesn't really make bl series as much and they tend to be web series they are relatively short. I wish the series had more eps and the eps where longer I think they where about 10-15 mins long so we can get the chance to see rhe characters stroy development better but other than that the series, story, music and acting was very good. As a person who got use to cringy, low budget, amateur acting and at some points questionable story plots I'm glad to see a more professional look on bl series that isn't just from Thailand.

I would rarely give out almost-perfect and perfect scores, but Where Your Eyes Linger deserves it. I am not exactly a fan of friends to lovers trope (hence the 9.5 rating) but mutual pining? The angst? It's what makes this drama enjoyable for me. When you thought Korea couldn't produce good homosexual dramas/films on national TV, the team of WYEL proved us wrong. Everything they incorporated here was perfect. And the fact that they weren't exactly friends makes it more interesting. A bodyguard falling in love with his boss, who would eventually fly out to another country? Damn, sign me up! Not to mention the angst they gave us on Episode 7. There was intimacy, there was yearning, there was tenderness, and above all, the love between them was present. And the ending? God knows how much I cried when they reunited. I may be a sucker for angsty plots without happy endings, but still, WYEL brought me to tears despite having the ending we all hoped for. A big applause to everyone who worked hard for Korea's first ever BL drama.

Beautiful, Sweet, the Feels! Three small words to describe this immaculate drama. For 8 - 10/15 minute episodes you would think I was unsatisfied, especially by the title of this review. No, No, No, I want more of the two male leads! These two individuals legit SPOKE VOLUMES with just their eyes, I was overwhelmed and giddy with joy!

Watching these two every week, I was like a kid in the candy store - always coming back for more! The storyline, tells of two men who have grown up together one rich and the other poor but they have a serious friendship/partnership which is developed from a necessity for the bad boy to be protected by his bodyguard (you will know who is who when you watch).

The cast is funny and precious. Even though these were short episodes there was humor, seriousness, happiness, sadness. How can one pack all of these emotions into ONE episode - you'd be surprised. Now stop reading and start watching! <3

Korean BL ... what to say about it? I love Korean storytelling. And seeing Korea is making BL series is a reason to be excited. Talking about "Where your eyes linger": the chemistry was great, the acting, the music. The plot was nothing revolutionary, but they added some angst like you don't see it in Thai BL (for example). In general, it was a great watch with very complex characters. It was hard to guess their motives most of the time, but it all came together pretty well at the end. There were still many plotholes and looking back I get the impression they were beating around the bush. It was obviously a BL story, but many people wondered until the very end if it will be only bromance - that tells you a lot about how their relationship was portrayed. Korea still isn't very clear and straight forward about gay love. But that's okay. With this series they only tested the waters. Hopefully we will see more Korean BL series in the future. This was a pretty good start.
