After his sudden rise to stardom, the actor Liu Yu Ming, nicknamed Bian Dang (Lunch Box), overruled his agency's objections and decided to get married. When the news spread, chaos reigned. His fans were very upset about his impending wedding and fights broke out outside the church. Then, they found out... the bride was a no-show. In the ensuing chaos, Bian Dang and his makeup artist, Xiao Qing, put on disguises and sneaked past the paparazzi.

The aggressive paparazzi forced Bian Dang to go into hiding. With no home to go back to, Xiao Qing introduced him to a strange place called "The Escape Pod." Everyone there wanted to run away from their old lives. There was Poki who tried to escape his debt in Japan, Wen Zi Yu (Fish) who was running away from home, and there was the owner of The Escape Pod, Chuan Tou (The Captain). In this place, they began a magical love story of running away from and being ran away from.

Is also a "slice-of-life" like drama that even if i"it doesn't involve social media, it also focuses on married couples, affairs and divorce

Now, before I start, I do want to say that they are completely different stories. Saikou no Rikon focuses on the aftermath of a divorce and Chugakusei Nikki is about a teacher-student relationship over time.

The similarities I found with them is that they both made me so frustrated to the point I wanted to throw myself out a window. With both dramas, the love in the love triangle is so strong that you don't know who's going to get picked or what's going to happen. It leaves you with so much suspense.

They also both have characters (in my opinion) that you can't help but hate because they end up speaking the awful truth (Haraguchi Ritsu (CN) and Uehara Akari (SNR)). They are also technically "the other woman" so their presence may be irritating at times.

A month later, their divorce will be finalized. But, on the day that they applied for a divorce, they get into a car accident. When they wake up at the hospital, they have both lost their memories and do not remember each other.

A romantic home comedy about 30-year-olds with an immature view on marriage that focuses on themes related to married couples and families in general.

The protagonists of ‘Saikou no Rikon’ are two couples – Mitsuo and Yuka as well as Ryo and Akari. Mitsuo and Yuka have been married for two years, but their ways of thinking and living are completely different and they keep on quarreling with each other most of the time. One day, he happens to meet Akari, his old girlfriend from his student days, which brings back pleasant memories. Right after he finds out Akari is already married, Yuka eventually asks him for a divorce but Mitsuo still ends up living with Yuka under the same roof due to some reaso

While saikou no rikon (aka matrimonial chaos) is Japanese, it has many similarities to The Man Who Can't get married. Similarities lying in the general theme and genre, as well as the overall comedy structure of both. Without a doubt the main actors/characters have almost mirroring personalities with few differences lying in occupation etc.

Both ....

-have an extremely weird and socially awkward male lead
-have main couple with cute love/hate relationship
-have plenty of smart, well written, rapid fire dialogs
-have smart and unique type of funny elements : they can make us sad/cry and laugh/smile simultanously in one scene
-have same underlying message about the true form of love

The story takes place at a police station in Nakano, Tokyo - a community-based precinct handling cases of all sizes, from arguments between pedestrians and neighborhood disputes to theft and fraud. Assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division are the partner detectives Yomoda Makoto and Suzuki Asuka.

With outstanding teamwork, the pair solve case after case. However, they carry a secret they cannot tell anyone. They are husband and wife.

Within the police department in Japan, it exists an unspoken rule: married couples cannot be assigned to the same division. If discovered, one of them would be transferred. In other words, they would be forced out of the detective division. To remain detectives, they reach only one conclusion: hide the fact that they are married.

Thus, the detectives form a partnership while concealing their marriage and keeping separate surnames...

At work, the two ordinary fellow detectives...

The character Hamasaki Mitsuo (Nagayama Eita) may be a close friend of Nakamura Shinshin (play by Okada Masaki) Their personalities are complementary and unique.
