Bong Mu Ryong makes a deal with the high government official who had colluded with Sa Gi Jin. Mu Ryong offers everything in exchange for Sam Saeng's life. Ji Seong suffers from side effects of his torture after returning home. In Su and Gyeong Ja are distraught to see this. Bong Mu Ryong finds out that his land certificates are missing. He tells Geum Ok to bring them back, slapping her in the process. Meanwhile, Sam Saeng starts to talk about her past after being saved from an initial peril thanks to Bong Mu Ryong.
