Good Enough
Korean Drama " Island Season Two " is the second part of the sci fi series with a horror undertone.The story goes deeper into the past of the heroes and the myth that surrounds the island. The big battle finally arrives as well, with the drama focusing on the characters preparing for it.
On the plus side, the mood was there and the fantasy element was well handled.
On the other hand, the characters turned out to be cliche stereotypes, especially when it came to the reincarnation of the main lead, which was eye-rolling at some point.
The performances were enjoyable though.
So, overall, six out of ten.

Confusing
The best part of the second season are the flash backs. Tbh, there were just so many things that the show didn’t b explore, like the evil white robed people, father/butler jang’s past on the island, and honestly, half the show.I do feel like they assassinated any interesting points about Gungtan. Honestly, I really feel like the character would have been played well by Shin Sung Rok, simply because he plays crazy villains really well, not that the original actor did a bad job, but he would have been way better.
The best part about the show was hands down Van. I love him as a character, and he deserved nothing but sunny rainbows all day long. Kim Nam Gil truly is fantastic in his role and he has a lot of chemistry with the female lead.
Overall I am still so impressed with how much I actually like Won Mi ho as a character.
The show had way too many plot holes, the pacing was off and honestly could have used a traditional screen episode run time,

Great but incomplete
I honestly enjoyed every minute of the series except maybe for the very end. We waited so long for the conclusion of the series and they leave some questions unanswered in anticipation of another season which I suspect might never get made. That is why it makes me more annoyed that the current season got split up to begin with. It might have received a better reception as a whole.I genuinely loved the character development of all our three leads as well as the student. A depth is added to their personalities and the story continues. There is no romance but there is chemistry between Van and Won Min Ho. Plenty of nice action sequences especially including Priest Yohan. Really good CGI. The story moves faster for the most part.
The biggest drawback is that we get left on a cliffhanger so it's not really a satisfactory conclusion although it's not as bad as to feel incomplete either. I just wish all lose ends were tied up in a clean way.
The series is quite enjoyable. I hope more people view it so that we can all ask for another season with a conclusive story line.

Can a show be successively better as well as worse from its previous part at the same time?
Where do I even start-Lot of things things got better from its previous part.. The ACTION.. The CG/Vfx, The ACTING.. The Emotional depth Van and Miho’s chracters(the romance-plot got addressed) and the hevenly CINEMATOGRAPHY aced. However, unfortunately the STORY/ PLOT tanked..
The decisions of splitting the show was a evidently a blatant cash grab.. part 1 and 2 together are supposed to be considered the 1st season its preety evidently that it was never meant to be split into two parts..
I have Mixed reaction on the ending.. it's clearly being set up for a second seasons , but i don't think we will get one considering the shows didn’t turn out to be as successful as they thought it would be (given the massive 14 million dollar production budget)
The Cast really did a great job with whatever they had to work with (its all because of the faulty writing)

A boaring mess
What started off beautiful and with some kind of potential ended up a boring mess... So I am so sorry to say this but there is a limit to how far you can get with beautiful things who shatter and pretty faces... As I found the plot messy, boring and as if they where trying to mix Goblin with some kind of nature exorcism, war of the demons and probably something more and just made a pretty mess out of it all...Our priest Johan (Cha Eun Woo) is probably the only reason to watch this drama, I am not saying the others do not do a good job with what they are given but , they just didn't get nuch to work with while our priest was basically the only one given anything worth watching...
And well the scenery and Johan may have been able to hold my attention for part one but where just not enough to captivate me for part two...
I guess what I want to say is, if you are going to watch this start off by having low expectations and then lower them a little bit (a lot) more for the second part.
You could also skip/speed watch and only watch the scenes where our priest Johan is present... you can probably piece the rest of the plot together a lot better without actually watching the show.

A solid 12 episodes
Overall this was really solid. Most of the stunts and special effects were done well. I'm impressed that the actors did a lot of them. I thought the three leads did a good job, as well as the actor of the villain. The three leads had good chemistry. Decently strong female character for a Korean drama, which has been an issue for me in the past. The actor for Van impressed me with his nonverbals. The character was also so impactful even without much dialogue. The cinematography was stunning. The combo of locations and post production was great. The production value on this was higher than other's I've seen. I adored that this was rooted in real history and local legends of Jeju! I learned so much! The episode about Johan and his brother gets it's own star. Major props to Cha Eun Woo. They mostly succeeded in connecting everything. They also had a good amount of character development for each of the leads! I also really appreciated how much humor was in this. It paired so well with the dark themes.There were some times where the stunts and cgi were flawed. Johan, as a character, was undervalued and under used. There were some plot lines that were not explained well or fleshed out. I desperately wanted to know more about Johan and his "powers" and the people in white robes just were not explained. Even the granny character could have been explored more. I honestly think this could have been longer. I also would have loved the female lead to be even stronger. There were times where she just seemed like a demon punching bag. But I am glad that she was the one who saved the world in the end.

Great drama, did explain the characters despite what some say that didn’t watch it all
All the people that are complaining about this drama are all the ones that didn’t finish it or skipped some of it.Why even watch it if you’re not going to watch all of it. I initially watched this bc I love Eun-Woo and have followed him for many years in his journey. This is not typically the type of genre I like to watch but I wanted to give it a try. I’ve liked anything he has ever acted in. He gets many offers so I knew he must have thought it was good enough. I loved it. I wasn’t bored at all. Maybe you negative people didn’t really understand what was going on. Every little thing was explained throughout the last 6 episodes. Every character’s back story was explained so that we could understand everything going on. I don’t even understand how they allow people in here to even write reviews if you never complete something. I see it all the time. People just like to complain!!!
Before you complain about it watch each and every episode so you can maybe understand what is going on! ?
It was awesome! Kept me in the edge of my seat a lot and very nervous for a lot of it! It ended to where they could definitely have another one. But all you negative people who didn’t even watch it may take that away from all of us that actually enjoyed it. All of the characters were great and did an awesome job of portraying their characters!!!

Sério, qual a necessidade de ter dividido o drama em duas partes se ia ter um final aberto pra uma possível segunda temporada? Digo possível porque eu já tenho experiência suficiente pra não criar expectativas!
No fim o drama foi ótimo, gostei extremamente do enredo, dos personagens e das relações, faltou alguma coisinha pra eu realmente amar ele, mas me surpreendeu bastante!
De longe pra mim foi um dos meus papéis favoritos do eunwoo. Gostei muito da Lee da hee, primeira vez que vejo a atuação dela, extremamente carismática e o Nam Gil também, adorei! Espero que caso tenha uma segunda temporada, o Van volte (queria um beijo deles). E espero que o ahjussi volte também, gostava tanto dele!
E gostei da relação do drama com a religião, questão de lutar contra o mal e tal!

Em nome do pai...
Definitivamente essa parte 2 foi muito bem desenvolvida e com mais ação e propósito para a conclusão da história, como disse na resenha da parte 1, não vi sentido em separar, mas como maratonei, pra mim não fez diferença.Os efeitos especiais da série melhoraram muito e toda a história prendia a atenção e nos faz continuar a assistir sem parar.
E definitivamente, o Nunu nos faz pecar sem fim kkkkkk

Os reels do Insta estragaram-me a vida!
Fiquei desiludida, tenho de admitir. Tinha um hype GIGANTE, uma razão perfeitamente ÓBVIA para gostar do drama, e ficou tudo por terra. O plot é muito confuso, há demasiados pormenores desnecessários e não consegui criar uma ligação com nenhuma das personagens!Apesar de ter grandes nomes (como Eunwoo, Sungjoon, Go Dusim, Choi Taejoon e Kim Sungoh), estava à espera de mais! A primeira parte estava ótima, esperei que a segunda superasse, não o fez. Senti que era desnecessária, podiam perfeitamente ter feito mais 1 ou 2 episódios e juntar tudo.
Curiosidade: Pensava que era o primeiro k-drama que eu via com a Lee Dahee, mas afinal ela apareceu no I Hear Your Voice (que já vi em 2015 e sinceramente não me lembro minimamente de nada ^^'')
Conclusão: Nem um padre, bom como o milho, de TRONCO NU, salva um k-drama!

«Island» est un drama mélangeant action, fantastique, surnaturel, mystère et drame. Avec des personnages très intéressants, drôles et attachants, des acteurs talentueux et une histoire prenante, rien ne manque à ce drama, si ce n’est plus d’épisodes ! Le trio principal a été un plaisir à voir, les liens qui s’établissent entre chacun d’eux, chacune de leurs histoires qui sont explorées légèrement, et bien sûr, la romance légère qui est également présente entre deux d’entre eux. Ce n’est pas parfait, l’histoire aurait largement mérité plus d’épisodes, vu tout le contenu à explorer, et celui qui aurait pu l’être, mais j’ai vraiment adoré !
