LBPG:
With the trappings of the palace removed, I agree. It was telling that she was the one wondering how their lives would've been like as commoners, yet he never had to even wonder that. Talk about power imbalance.
It was such a good depiction of the power imbalance . Modern romcom where power dynamics are swapped and she chases after him?

We were talking about that earlier. It’s a great take on this drama. It’s both their story. Seyoung had a really hard character to play and she did it brilliantly because we were all able to see what that analysis pointed out. That’s why I feel she should have been mentioned for daesang too.

I really thought she still wanted a pawn to play against San, but you're right, she was just as lonely.

I don’t blame her. It’s lonely in those positions. I love that she goes back and forth betwe wanting to use her versus just wanting her company. Her character was grey all the way. But Doek-Im’s like a game of Go between San and Queen Dowager.
