Doom at Your Service

Both female leads have brain tumors and they are going to die. They both have limited time to live their life as they want. Both are worried about their family and are not doing that well in life

not particularly similar but it has a few similar plot

- both dramas, the female lead have serious health issues
- cold female lead (the name); cold male lead (doom at your service)
- slow paced romance between the leads; angst between the leads
- female lead ask a favor from the male lead (the name); male lead did a favor to help her live longer (doom at your service)

vastly different in terms of plot settings, DAYS being a fantasy-esque slice of life and HC not having any magical elements at all
both are similar in terms of themes of healing, accepting and overcoming hiddena and untold grief with the company of others. While DAYS achieves this with the help of a fantastical setting, HC is a more lowkey, humble hometown backdrop.
what i love in both the dramas, what especially led me to draw similarities between the two was just how cute, wholesome and domestic the two couples are. the way they interact, their comfort amongst themselves is whats truly healing and makes the two healing dramas
both have cute support couples
both have characters rooting for each other and helping eachother grow and move on from grief and trauma

Both have a terminally ill FL who in their lowest point crosses paths with the ML who is a supernatural being and aids them in someway.

- both male lead is related to the heaven/gods/deity
- both female lead are destined to die
- both male lead wants to save the female lead
- at the beginning, both male lead didn't much care about the female lead
- at the beginning, both drama leads wants the other to love them ( somehow ) to save their lives. [ A Korean Odyssey- the female lead put on a bracelet on the male so that the male " loves" her and won't kill her ] [ Doom At Your Service- The female wants to love the male lead so that she won't die and she won't lose anything that way too ]

In A Korean Odyssey, the female was the one who died but the male went to find her at the other world ( other world?? i think- ) so if Doom At Your Service is similar to that, the ending should be the same at most ( either the male or the female has to die ) *NOT CONFIRMED, THIS IS JUST ONE OF MY OPINION*

Both dramas has the same vibes. Family and friends are the best part.
Both dramas about FL who has terminal illness.
Both FL have strong characters.
Both drama has cold heart character ML.
Both FL at first just give up with life at first until met the ML and they want to be alive in the rest of their time.
The good one is : no love triangle.
Both dramas has good OST.

Both main protagonists suffering from cancer can make contract with "devil" to get extra time to life. In If Cats Disappeared From the World can postman erase one thing from the world and then get extra day to life. In Doom at Your Service Tak Dong Kyung makes a contract with Myeol Mang for a hundred days to live how she wants, risking her everything.

Both the shows have supernatural persona involved. The core concept is same but the story and representation of characters are different.

They have the same vibe. Both are supernatural and in both the main FL has a rather hard life. Filmed in an artistic way with good music and plot.

both female leads have only a certain amount of time to live and they are told that by a celestial being. they end up falling in love and it saves them in more ways than one.

Both FLs have their days numbered and both MLs have this type of 'scheduler/ neither human nor god' role. Both stories tackle the meaning of life and how to make the best use of your numbered days.

L, an angel who’s endlessly fascinated with the human world, gets into trouble when she unthinkingly saves the life of Han Shi Yeong, a man who was meant to die. To make up for her mistake she must guard him on Earth for one hundred days and keep him safe from Hwan, a death god who is required to collect his soul. Both supernatural beings must contend with the knowledge that whichever one of them fails by the end of the hundred days will be erased from existence, and the longer they stay on Earth the further their powers fade and the more human they become.

Both are fantasy themed dramas about male lead being creature from different world - god and grim reaper and human female lead.

I was really shocked how similar I found those two titles.
Not by story, but by aesthetics.
I thought, I was convinced, that those titles are connected by the same director and yet I was wrong which is amazing.
Still I think that JBL has better acting and music than DAYS (hehehe I just did ‘days’ while typing the shortage of the title, lol).
Yeah, but the vibe in DAYS is like mix of JBL and Goblin.
