He's backing down because of Fujieda

I am almost 100% sure that Fujieda made Sorai think that he's going out with Inaba or told him something that would make him refuse Inaba that way. Right when I thought that there will be some developments going on *sigh*

The rest of the episode was alright.

The fishy Fujieda

I don't believe for one second that Sorai really said he's looking for a sweet housewife! That is totally out of character and makes no sense with his being fascinated by a strong-willed woman like Inaba.

Clearly Fujieda has got his own agenda and given the miserable way in which Sorai walked away from that bar, I suspect the handsome newscaster told him something just as misleading about Inaba.

Very well acted episode. I'm more and more intrigued.
