The female leads in these dramas couldn't be more different. However, both dramas have master/disciple dynamics, and both have extremely slow-burn torturous romances where the tension cuts like a knife and you can feel the pain in their eyes and your heart feels like it's being squeezed. And that's what matters!
The male leads are also slightly similar in that they're both princes who're sick af at martial arts, but also they're shy and awkward with no idea how to do a romance.

Both stars Allen as a General & God of War and tells heart-wrenching, painful love stories. Zhoushen Chen in One & Only and Lu Yan in Thousand Years for You have surprising resemblances in characters & costumes, in addition to the fact that they're both generals & hailed as God of War.

Both of these shows include star crossed lovers who just couldn't end of together. They also both had tragic endings.

If Goodbye My Princess shattered you with its cold beauty and irreparable loss, One and Only will pick up the pieces — only to break them again, even more tenderly.

Both dramas understand that some loves are never allowed to live — but they endure anyway, stitched into memory.

They are both versions of the story of love between a princess/consort to the emperor, and the southern prince (Xiao NanChuan Wang).

A Tale of Love and Loyalty is 10-minute episodes adapted from Zhou Fu Yao's novel.

Both are Chinese historical romance dramas aired in 2021 adapted from the novels. One and Only is Wuxia and Ancient Love Poetry is Xianxia.
Both have FLs being sent into MLs to be a student, later romance develop between a Master-Student relationship. MLs are powerful.

Both are historical dramas starring Bai Lu as female lead character. Bai Lu's characters in both are very different from each other.
In One and Only, the leads have a Master and Disciple relationship, she calls him "Shifu". Also in the Legends, FL sometimes calls ML "Shifu" while she is pretending to be someone to get close to him.

I know both are very different dramas in a lot of things. Both shares same lead actress Bai Lu. I first fell in love with Bai Lu in Arsenal. Both are equally amazing dramas with great acting, chemistry and plots.

There's a suspicion among the imperial family to run for the throne. Even though the male lead of both series already take an oath to stay loyal, the suspicion is still exist. Male lead of both dramas are great general who has been spending their life for peace even though suspicion of them beings rebels exists. Both of the drama leads also can't be together in the end because of their priorities and responsibilities.

Warning though: One and Only has a brutal ending, watch it at your own peril.

What I think is similar in both is the maturity between the couples. They understood each other so well.

While Shen Li & Xing Zhi bickered a lot, they still respected each other. Zhou Sheng Chen respected and treated Cui Shi Yi with a lot of care. They get their happy ending in the modern times (in the sequel Forever and Ever).
