Surprisingly moving

This series is full of surprises, not because there are lots of plot twists but because it can be surprisingly moving and interesting despite being seemingly frivolous at first. There is a lot of lighthearted humor, but the way the back stories of each character is unraveled and the way the characters are developed is rather interesting.
