Background Story Part 1

This episode is a bit flat just because I'm a Donghua fan, but overall, I understand why it was needed.
Tang San is a powerful character but since TLOW is a story that skips all his training years, people might not understand where his perfect resolution, wisdom and calm manner come from.
So, the scriptwriter creates a reckless moment to lay a foundation for Tang San's perfect character to show that he has already overcome his obsession and inner demon after separating from Xiao Wu. Now, he's back to being himself.
