Following the debacle at the book fair, Chu Li and Zhou Chuan share a drunken kiss, but he still signs his new book with Xin Din, and the head of Yuan Yue takes everyone involved in the book fair to task, even though Chu Li has a solution to help salvage some of the damage. That is, assuming she and Zhou Chuan can bear to be around each other anymore when they return from spending New Year with their families or, in the case of Jiang Yu Cheng and Gu Bai Zhi, with their mutual friend. The writer is too dependent on heavy drinking scenes

This episode gets points for featuring their first kiss. But loses points because once again the show has an important emotional moment only take place with at least one character totally drunk. This show has used heavy drinking scenes almost as often as it has recycled the Zhou-Chuan-acts-like-a-petulant-child bit. This episode unfortunately also features lots more frustrating, not-funny, childlike behavior by the ML. He really is just so full of problems that even though I hate screen time wasted on love triangles and always root for the main couple, I find myself more and more thinking that the female lead, Chu Li should punt on ZC and go find an adult, mentally-healthy man. But then I note that there are almost no such creatures in this show. The ML is probably the most broken, but so are all the other male characters in one way or another (other than maybe Mr. Xia and Chu Li's dad).
