Bao Bao tries her best to prevent Wang Ye from battling Chu Lan but fails in the end. Wang Ye’s intent in the match is to talk to Chu Lan and try to dissuade him from seeking the truth based on his previous phantasmagoric experiences. Although Chu Lan realizes that his drive to seek the truth may have a detrimental impact on others, he chooses to continue out of his responsibility to help Bao Bao find her family.

I Am Nobody Episode 14 Reactions
BaoBao agrees to help ChuLan avoid his battle but finds WangYe more challenging than most. They end up in the arena and ChuLan tells her he will handle it now. WangYe takes a different approach to this battle and only Zhuge Qing knows why. ChuLan agrees that continuing is most likely not beneficial to him but feels that he must see it through to help BaoBao find her family. I expected a more interesting battle but had to admire WangYe for finding a way to give ChuLan choice and keep the honor of his teachers. It was an excellent move to keep his promise tho understated. I am sorry he is no longer part of the competition but hope he sticks around. I would love to see him and Zhuge Qing have more opportunity to interact.
