I've dubbed this the homoerotic murder cake cinematic universe. You have your slapstick comedy, surprisingly nuanced portrayals of trauma and abuse, unlikely friendships between members of an ensemble cast, and the ever-classic story of a high school bully and his victim reconnecting years later and quickly becoming an old married couple in all but name. Did I mention the homoeroticism?

Both stories revolve around cakes and pastries. Though there is little romance in this movie it has a lot of hot guys and there relationships are great. There are a lot of funny and cute moments also. Also both leads have questions about their pasts.

Both have a bakery setting where the main, BL relationship takes place.
Similar aesthetics in both with all the tasty cakes and bright, happy colours.
Both main characters have a mysterious, traumatic past, though in CY, it isn't really mentioned after the 1st episode, while in AB, it is a plot line.

Overall, both have Cute boys and yummy cakes !

Both movies deal with a character who was kidnapped at a young age and dealing with the trauma of that and how to move on and heal. Also they both don’t like being touched and have nightmares as a result of their trauma. Also both have a trigger warning for suicide/an attempt/references.

In the previous season, the couple met in an unwanted marriage, but gradually bonded as they tried to revive Kuwanoki with a single day of "heartwarming cooking," eventually becoming a real couple.

In the sequel, Ichika and Amane welcome a new member into their family. Furthermore, with the arrival of Sakae, the second son of the Yamaguchi family and Amane's older brother, Kuwanoki, which had begun to recover from financial difficulties, faces another challenge, and the bond between the couple is put to the test.

It's the Japanese version, and the "original".

Pretty good as well~ with a similar plot.
