If you watched Shine and were moved by its mix of love, activism, and historical struggle, you might like Not Me because it carries a similar spirit though set in present-day Thailand rather than a past history. Both series show how romance grows in the middle of danger, protest, and ideals bigger than the characters themselves. Like Shine, Not Me isn’t just about two people falling in love it’s about asking what it means to fight for justice, to risk safety for truth, and to find tenderness even while standing against oppressive systems. It’s personal, political, and deeply human.
Both revolve around themes of danger, justice, lies, and trust. The main leads also give a similar vibe. (main character being almost morally grey and hiding something from the lead, and the lead having cold vibes but ending up being a softie in reality)
Both are well written and have complex character dynamics and personalities. In both, the main couple goes through troubles in their relationship due to the main character hiding things from the lead, and they actually portray these problems well instead of skipping through it. In both shows, the main character and male lead both go through near death experiences, and shooting is relevant.

TML and NM are very similar, you can dinf in both:
- twin sisters/ brothers with totaly different personalities, when one is a leader of mafia or a group that fights for the law being applied equally, and the other is really pure and senstive.
- both sister/ brother replacement make the ML to feel the difference and be attracted to them.
- both has some kind of a mistory - what happend to the other twin so the other twin has to pretend to be his twin to discover.
- both are really intresting and has romance scenes (though I wish for more).
I think that if you enjoined one, you will enjoy the other!
