the scenes with the budding romance between Dam Yi & Jung Ji Woon were the bright spot in this ep. the rest was pretty depressing & not only talking about young Lee Hwi's end. but the massacres at the start, just to cover up the existent of Dam Yi being a (god forbid) female twin to the new born prince. i guess when a woman has no worth, it's logical that sharing the same womb will be looked down upon. sad reality (the inferiority of females) world around at that point in time, i think -*****************************************************************************************************************************************the abusive patriarchs in this - whether it be the Queen's father, the Crown Prince's father or even Ji Woon's father, that cause of the edict from the Emperor (or personal ambition) is ready to kill anyone getting in his way. just shows how they abused the power they had. scary world/time to live in regardless of ur statues or gender.
************************************************************************************************************************************************************so how ironic they all cause the death of the one they want/the one of worth, while that poor child ends up paying for the greed of so many.

The beginning of a bittersweet story. The story of how women were unfavourable from the first moment of life. Also the beginning of a complicated romance. Right person wrong time trope.

This is episode bring where girls is unfavorable, how the history want to produce more male to lead the country and female are inferiors to genders.Still I enjoyed watching and can't stop my self to wonder on the next episode.

Child actress is amazing! The story is set well in the first episode and I love how we can see their characters clearly already at the start.

This first episode was really good.We were introduced to the initial plot without being too heavy handed and it was easy to understand.We were also introduced to the main characters clearly, to see their role in the story.I loved the first episode.

Incrível! Que primeiro episódio. Começou muito, bem a abertura é tão linda, fiquei encantada com as crianças e a paixão que acabou se desenvolvendo com a Dam i/ Yeon Seon e o jieun. Até a OST eu achei muito boa, o drama tem grande chance de ser um sucesso. Espero que o final não seja triste :(
