The Middleman's Love Episode 2

I found Jade less grating this time

Jade is still off in his own little world most of the time, but we're starting to understand more of why that is.His family is full of big personalities, they all talk over him, he feels pushed aside within the family and he's been consistently overlooked romantically because his two besties are some of the hottest people on the planet. Based on what I've seen so far, he gets noticed by being silly and loud and funny and kind, and he's filtered that through his own personal oddness lens and we get the over-the-top Jade we've seen so far. But he also gives pretty decent advice and cares about the people in his life, and we're starting to see hints that he's shunted himself off into the role of matchmaking love guru and middleman because he thinks that's what he's allowed - and maybe because of some sort of love disappointment in the past. Uea said something this episode about Jade having a past relationship and I'll be watching for further backstory there. Hopefully no Bed Friend level trauma please! Mai is still delightful and is *also* secretly more than a little bit ridiculous, in a way that makes him a good match for Jade. The Middleman's Love versions of the coworkers are much more fun and silly than they seemed in Bed Friend. Seems like office ghost story sessions might be a recurring thing.
