Out of curiosity, and it's been years since I've read orv (maybe 3 at least), i wa gonna give it a chance and watch it before rereading so i dont spend the entire time watching and picking at the wrong bits of the movie (which i already know there are a whole truckload of them)

Funny thing is that I started reading the webtoon because of the movie. I thought it would make the movie easier to understand. Of course I started to love the webtoon a lot and have read almost 200 chapters. Didn't expect the movie to destroy the original plot.

It's not a terrible movie.

The words "based on" or "adapted from" actually mean "based on" and "adapted from", not the exact, story. The movie could be viewed as a fan fiction or like watching a drama that was remade in different countries. You may like one version and you may not like another.

I find it odd that fans who are unhappy with this movie simply dont just blame your favorite writer for selling out their work to a production company that have a different creative vision.

I have no idea what the original source material is and I don't give a crap. I'm watching this movie for the sake of the movie, without any preconceived notions. Unfortunately, so many of these abysmal reviews are holding the director and/or screenwriter to a ridiculous standard.
