Well, I don't think it was a happy ending, because of one thing: Ziqi didn't die in the game... 

If he had, then it could be assumed that Fu Zhou simply returned to the real world. However, in his final moments in the game, he says that thanks to Miao Miao he found himself and saved the world, so now he can rely on himself - then with a determined look he stops falling and instead takes off into the air surrounded by power - probably to save the game world.

In my opinion, this scene strongly suggests that although Ziqi was somewhat Fu Zhou, he was also a separate person and ultimately remained in the game - immortal and forever alone :/

What Ziqi actually meant when he said he can rely on himself was that, once he returned to the real world, he needed to confess his feelings to Miao Miao. And by “saving the world,” he meant rewriting the story from the beginning again with happy ending—which he did.

In my view, the scene where he ascends into the sky surrounded by power symbolizes his determination to achieve these goals and his return to their own world.

At the very end of the drama, the fact that he calls the FL by her first name even though he hasn’t seen her for years shows that he is truly Ziqi himself.

And remember, Ziqi’s world was the world of a novel. Since he was a character in that novel, he couldn’t directly save it. To save his world, he had to become the author of the novel and change its ending.

Therefore, it’s impossible that he stayed there—especially alone. Once he became himself again (the author), he would certainly create a main female character in his novel’s world, someone like Miao Miao, because he doesn’t want to be alone—neither in the real world nor through his character in the novel.
