liked this drama so much ... it shows the strong sides of a women also it was able to portray the life of 3sisters too...

Both deal with 3 siblings navigating through life and love and that the only time they spend together is over food. Although food plays a more central role in Eat, drink, man, woman.

Similarities-
-Mr. Gu and Kim Ji Won have a similar romantic dynamic as Nam Soon and Dong Hyeon. Both are opposites yet are very sweet to one another.
- *mini-spoiler* Mr. Gu and Nam Soon is a gangster/land-shark
-Both stories are about showing the slow and mundane parts of life
Differences-
-My Liberation Notes is focused on the Jung family, whereas, Pain is about Nam Soon and Dong Hyeon becoming a family with each-other.
-Dong Hyeon is sickly whereas the sisters in My Liberation Notes are healthy.
-Pain is much more of a romance than My Liberation Notes
-Dong Hyeon is much more extroverted than Kim Ji Won
I honestly think anyone who likes Liberation Notes would really enjoy Pain, and vise versa.

Both are melodramas with similar pacing and moody atmospheres. Also, both are slice-of-life dramas that focus on character relationships over eventful plots.

Both pieces focus on slow quiet and dull lives where one finds meaning in another. My liberation notes is a show and hence at a slower pace than the movie Vertigo. Very similar in that the main characters don't talk too much, relatively quiet, and find comfort in each other. Both female leads are sad and hate their dull lives.

Son Sukku looks like Jo Seung Woo (I had to. But it is more than appearances). Both are Gu 'sajangs' with that kind of personality.
The dramas slow vibe, music, directing, etc.
The romantic relationship in My Liberation Notes, and a similar one in Life only it was very subtle.
Following lives of multiple characters.
Greatly written.

Remembrance of the past dwells on the past and how it affects their present.
My liberation notes dwells on the present and questions the possibility of a way out.
Both seek closure in their own way.

Thought-provoking slice of life dramas. FLs who navigate break-ups and reflect about how they want to live life. Both provide interesting perspectives to make you re-think your own decisions and orientation towards the world.

Both dramas concerned with work culture, disconnection and loneliness inherent in modern society, money and relationships. Slice of life/personal growth/relationship dramas that are built around conversations with friends/family/strangers over food and drink that feel uncomfortable, perhaps far too vulnerable. Thinking through the superficiality of modern life.

Another show that encapsulates loneliness. The show thoughtfully presents a main character, an introvert, who travels to work and back each day. Slowly, she comes out of her shell and engages with the world around her.
