Falling for Wang An Yu!!
Just finished watching this ..overall a very enjoyable, well made drama..let me get a few complaints that I have out of the way before I start on the positives...the writing was a little inconsistence towards the end and kind of felt like the writers ran out of ideas..it didn't feel like the last 3 to 4 episodes were written by the same people who wrote the remaining episodes..also a few of the subplots were very unnecessary and were not wrapped up effectively..\now let me talk about the positives and that cannot be without mentioning the biggest strength of the show which is its two leads who are excellent in their roles and have such sizzling chemistry with each other..their intimate moments felt so real that I felt like I was intruding on an actual couple ..Gina Jin as Lou Na was a very well written FL who was independent, strong and kind of broke the stereotype of the girl needing a knight in shining armor wherein here it was her who played that role..coming to our ML..this is my first drama of Wang An Yu and I'm already a fan..brilliant acting accompanied by a very well written character brought forth a very lovable, goofy, adorable ML whom you couldn't help but fall in love with...the writing was generally good especially in the first 3/4 th of the drama..the sports event were well shot with audiences feeling edge of the seat excitement..their were tons of cute romantic moments which didn't feel cringeworthy at all...l I would have given it an 8 but I give it a 9 ( the extra 1 point is just for how amazing Wang An Yu was in the drama)!!

Insane chemistry
The level of matured-ness that was this series is unbelievable. The chemistry between our leads was off the charts. I must give big credit and kudos to Wang An Yu because his ability to portray Duan Yu Cheng as a young guy who is also matured in so many ways was incredible and very believable. He is such a good actor, I was convinced that although he is young he was matured enough to pursue a relationship with Luo Na.The plot was ok, I enjoyed the fact that we got to see the work and dedication that was put in. My first love is sports and I have the biggest respect for athletes because I know how much effort most of them put into their craft.
The kiss scenes in this drama is hands down the best in any CDrama that I have watched and I have watched quite a few.
2nd place in my opinion is Lighter and Princess between Li Xun and Zhu Yun. They were so fire 🔥 too.
3rd place is Love Designer between Zhou Fang and Song Lin (they are actually my favorite CDrama couple of all time followed closely by Chessman aka Lu Si Cheng and Smiling aka Tong Yao in Falling into your smile).
Rewatch value 7.5/10
Overall 8.5/10

An Unparalleled Romantic Feast
This was a rare delight.Noona romance meets sports drama, without any of the accompanying angst or noble sacrifice tropes usually abundant in this genre. What a breath of fresh air!
Both leads are stunning in their roles. Their natural chemistry was very pure and gorgeously realized. You get the sense that the filming crew must have been so excited to be on set, knowing they had dynamite in front of them. Really, this is a couple you can root for. Watching them grow into their romance was a very beautiful experience.
By and large, this is the best Chinese drama I have watched. No comparison exists, and trust me, I have looked! Naturally, the rewatch value on this one is high. It is like a visual antidepressant.
I lost count of how many times I found myself smiling like an idiot while watching this. Trust me, you will too.

Best cdrama ever!
Best cdrama ever for romance without the stupid stupid breakups, idiotic manipulative exes, and a FL who isn’t a childish baby voice and actually a nice mature young lady. The chemistry is something else and the kissing scenes plus bonus 😎 are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥Of course it wouldn’t be a drama without some stupid drama and I guess the budget didn’t stretch to police uniforms lol because on the couple occasions it called for it, it was nowhere to be seen. However we can excuse this nonsense because the rest of the show is just beautiful. OST & cinematography was fantastic.

A cute series, which warms the heart!
I came to this series above all for the ML (Wang An Yu) of which I have been a fan since "Forever love"!! He is handsome, so talented that he manages to BE the character :). And he must be in great physical shape to have taken on this role!!!The story (of Twentine) is well constructed, intelligent and all the actors are excellent.
The evolution of the romance is subtle, believable, the relationship is solid, trusting, and without lasting misunderstandings. it's nice after all these series where the unsaid last 20 episodes! Despite the age-gap (in the drama and in real life), the chemistry between the 2 leads is palpable. Finally realistic kissing scenes between lovers!
The production is lively, smart (even the mental images of athletes are well represented) and the soundtracks amplify the emotions.
It is also a drama on athletics, realistic, where the difficulties of the athletes are well described, without exaggeration or "dramaland".
In conclusion, a cute series, which warms the heart!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sports meet noona romance drama...what a delightful series!
Older female/younger male romance is my favourite trope and I enjoy watching the Olympics. This series was a delight! This series reminds me of Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (another favourite series of mine) especially scenes about the slump period and the trainingWhat I liked:
1) Acting - Wow, Wang An Yu gave a stellar performance as a soft-hearted student-athlete. He looked like an Olympian during his high jump scenes - the posture, running and jump. I enjoyed watching Wang An Yu's facial expression especially his eyes. Very expressive. The scene when Coach Luo Na was comforting him when he was wet was heartbreaking. Jin Chen was great at her role of coach and girlfriend too. Luo Na knew when to put on coach hat and girlfriend hat. I read comments commenting on Jin Chen's skinniness but I think that's how a (former) athlete who keeps good care of her body looks like. Chi Jia was also great as Coach Wu Ze.
2) Writing - I didn't read the novel so my comments will focus solely on the show. I love watching the journey of Du Yu Cheng throughout the series. From high school to university and professional athletics training. I also love that writers feature different types of track and field events from training to competition.
3) Luo Na characterisation - I love how the writers balance the different roles held by Luo Na - assistant coach, girlfriend, friend, daughter. As an assistant coach, she knew when to be confidant to her students. She also knew when to follow her instinct with the case of Zhang Hong Wen.
4) Duan Yu Cheng characterisation - I always giggled when watching his antics. Duan Yu Cheng is crybaby and playful, at times childish. I think he's needy/clingy with Luo Na because of his upbringing but he never showed signs of toxic masculinity.
5) Romance - wow, palpable chemistry between Wang An Yu and Jin Chen right from the start. Their kissing and intimate scenes were really hot.
6) Supporting casts - Wonderful supporting characters such as Coach Wu Ze, Xia, Jian Tian, Lian Shu, Jia Shi Li. Mao maoqi is my favourite because he is so endearing.
7) The reunion at the end - It's great to see Jia Shi Li in the last episode.
What I disliked:
1) A lot of the romance scenes were for the benefit of Duan Yu Cheng. I wish there was a scene or gesture that was done by Yu Cheng for Luo Na as his girlfriend not coach.
2) The English song that was played during competition between Duan Yu Cheng and Li Ge made me laugh because that was a love song but the scene called for rivalry!
3) I disliked Mrs Duan's action during Yu Cheng's decathlon competition. She shouldn't barge like that since it might disrupt his focus on the competition.
Favourite scene
The scene when Coach Luo Na was comforting him when he was wet. Heartbreaking. Wang An Yu's best performance in this series.

Perseverance always wins
Overall the series is very good. Showing you that never giving up on your dreams will work, as long as you persevere through all the hardships, no matter how tough they get. All the casts actually did a nice job bringing this series to life. However, personally.... I find the male lead's extreme clingy"ness" and childishness in certain things very irky. It does have it's appeal but I still feel that it is overdone throughout the whole series. Nonetheless, I managed to watch thru the whole series, though it wouldn´t be rewatched because of the clingy"ness". Nice music pairing though! Was this review helpful to you?

Great feel good and utterly positive grown-up romance drama…
What a great feel-good romance. This is not just another sports drama. It is so much more. The balance between the romance and the « track and field » theme is just right. There is not one evil character, not any lasting stressful situation. the parents portrayal is positive: for once we get a lovely mother, who loves her son and initially disapproves of the relationship, but never did she try anything nasty, not to mention the great father, colleagues, etc…that’s just how respectful and supportive of each others the various characters are of each others….You smile from beginning to end, with a few emotional tears along the journey. The personalities of of characters are well drawn and make you easily relate to them. There is no unnecessary secondary plot or leads, although the people around the main leads all contribute to making this drama warm and special. The story is extremely well paced. I didn’t feel the need to fast forward… the chemistry between the 2 main leads feels so natural and true. Absolutely lovely is the depiction of the evolution of their feelings, The sweet moments they share together as grown ups in love is just perfection. In terms of mature balanced relationship with no stupid lengthy drama, meaningful situations and dialogs, I think this one is my favourite pure love story. The OST serves the drama perfectly.
Wang An yu has a very generous acting style, far from the preferred cold type . He was already great in Forever love… but here, The range of emotions he is able to display with his partner… he is extremely well paired in that regard with Jin Chen. The way they smile and look at each other,… their level of chemistry, … sparks are flying to the viewer.
they really deserve the spotlight. Very curious about WAY next project. I
All in all, An Extremely comforting and throughout positive drama

It Didn't Feel Like A C-Drama!
First and foremost, this show did NOT feel like a typical Chinese drama and that is absolutely refreshing. Nothing against the C Dramas, but they're a lot like K Dramas in the sense they're pretty predictable and they always feel like other shows within the genre. Which, again, is fine. This did NOT feel like a Chinese drama by any stretch of the word. I can't reiterate that enough. That should be more than enough for any potential watchers just case in they want to watch this one. I know I keep saying it but I don't think you guys understand me when I say this. There was skin being shown in this show. There was a lot of kissing. There was even a moment where the main characters were in bed together naked after having sex the night before. Like, this didn't feel like the censorship I'm used to and I'm happy about it!For the sake of this review, just look at the show for what it is (regarding the age gap/age difference/power imbalance, that is) - a fictional depiction of something that could be terribly terribly problematic and gross in real life, yeah?
Now, I typically don't watch dramas with age gaps. Although I'm from the West and I have a very distinct relationship with coach/athlete or mentor/mentee dynamics due to that socialization, I didn't mind that aspect of this show that much. It didn't bother me, and I find myself ignoring it even though it's something that was mentioned quite frequently. It may be due to the fact that both actors felt older than that? Yu Cheng didn't FEEL like an 18-year-old, if that makes any sense. Yes, in some ways, he did feel immature. But for the most part, he definitely felt older than a teenager. If they casted actors who were more closer to the characters' ages, then I may have felt differently about it. Even in Yu Cheng's characterization, he came off as "more mature" than his peers. He wasn't all that interested in romance and sex, which worked out pretty well for this show because that probably would have easily turned this show into something else.
I think the fact that he was more mature and focused on his dreams of becoming a professional athlete is what helped me to accept his affections for Luo Na. If he acted like the typical 18-year-old chasing skirts and slacking off on both his studies and sports, I would NOT have rooted for their relationship. At that point, this show would have turned into a sad attempt at getting the audience to buy that this older, mature woman would even be interested in someone that juvenile. That's enough talk about the age gap/age difference.
I did see some people mention that Luo Na didn't act like she reciprocated Yu Cheng's feelings or that he showed more interest in her than the opposite. To those people, I have to say this - with all due respect, what show were you watching? It was obvious from the first episode that she was dazzled by him. It was obvious that he caught her eye and grabbed her attention. She saw him before he saw her. Out of all those competitors, Luo Na paid attention to him. It was like love at first sight for her. She was clearly rendered speechless by him. Not even the other coaches with her took notice of Yu Cheng, but she did. Their relationship was the perfect example of "she fell first, but he fell harder." She was way more careful with showing her affections for him, although I don't think she did a good job of it. Even though she may not have realized it, it was fairly obvious. She was attracted to him and that was obvious, but she didn't quite understand her own feelings. Which is why the 180 happened after they officially got together because the levy had been broken! She had no reason to hide what she felt, especially since she finally accepted it. However, I DO think it was silly for her to have told him that no one could know about them when she wasn't very careful while out in public with him. Come on, Luo Na! Anyone with eyes could see it.
Also, another thing. I didn't mind Yu Cheng's short bout of heartbreak and depression. It felt realistic to me. He was a young guy who felt like he had been rejected by the girl he likes. Why wouldn't he lash out and respond like that? He was sad! It's normal to feel that way and it was normal for him to lash out like he did. Yes, kids, alcohol makes all of us do stupid things when we're using it to bury our pain and grief. He screwed up! He didn't pay for it with his life, thankfully, but it was stupid. I think a lot of people feel the same way that I did about Yu Cheng not feeling like a teenager, because anyone who's ever been around teenagers should be surprised by his reaction. I guess people forgot that he was technically a teenager and he was acting like a stupid, immature teenager. Kudos to the actor for his acting! He did VERY well with depicting a heartbroken teenager. I felt sorry for Yu Cheng! He made me feel his pain. Good for you, buddy!
Also, the chemistry! OMG! The chemistry between these two was off-the-charts. They were fucking hot together. The first time they kissed, my heart raced! It was so sexy. I don't know how to explain it, but you could feel the heat and sexual tension wafting off of your screen. Their chemistry was unquestionable. You don't have to ponder whether the chemistry is there, because it definitely is. I know some people didn't like Yu Cheng's characterization or maybe they were grossed out by the logistics of their relationship, but they can't deny the chemistry. The chemistry was undeniably hot! You will definitely enjoy their scenes together.
Now, the thing that kept this show from getting a perfect 10. I do agree with some reviewers regarding the ending. The ending felt .. weird. I can't explain it. I didn't like the last episode. There was something off about the final episode, and I can't quite put my finger on it. It's a happy ending, and we love that! However, I do agree that the reporter angle in the last few episodes was unnecessary. That didn't need to happen. I think the writers ran out of steam and didn't know how else to fill those last episodes, so that's what we got. But outside of that, I do like the show. I would rewatch it again because it's a feel-good romance drama. It's not too heavy, it's not too dark, it's not too angsty. There is very LIGHT angst, but it's not enough to make you angry. it's not enough to piss you off and make you drop the show altogether. There's not a lot of relationship drama or drawn-out love triangle nonsense to annoy you. (There is a love triangle technically, but I wouldn't even consider it as such as Luo Na only feels strongly about Yu Cheng and not her best friend who's in love with her. Luo Na never returns her best friend's feelings, and he knows it so he's never confused or under a different impression regarding their relationship.) It's just a clean, wholesome show. Like, if you want to watch a cut-and-dry romance drama with no real outside issues, then this is the show for you!

Falling into you
The drama is light, romantic 🥰 & funny , the main leads and as well as the supporting actor did a wonderful job ! The romantic scene is so sweet & the kiss scene oh my it wasn’t like just a light speck on their lips, it was so intense . So the story begin like he Duan Yucheng a senior high school student good at study as well as sport 100 m and 800 m but his main interest is high jump discipline because of Stefan Holm swedish high jumper was his inspirational role model because of this height it was a set back, but he never gave up his dream . He finally won a gold medal for china in the international grandprix melrose competition with help of Luo Na father who is coaching him abroad. Meanwhile She Luo Na is a assistent coach of Nanhu University’s track and field team who discovers Duan Yucheng, a sunny young boy with great potential and a deep love for the sport of the high jump.Duan YuCheng was interested in her from the begining final year of his school but Luo Na was not interested because it was like forbidden love . Coach & student No No plus like age difference absolutely No . Well it like 8 year different. Everyone know age is just number . Isn’t it . In the end of the drama due to controversy he got kick out from china national team but with the help of Luo Na father help he trained Duan Yu Cheng abroad, he complete in Grandprix competition where he won gold his favorite disciplin high jump i think he clear over 2,6 m and he won 🥇. Sweet romance. Constant butterflies.
The lead actor and actress have great chemistry. I overall really like the pacing of the drama. It was such a sweet romance, constantly giving me butterflies, and a very satisfying watch.Nothing too heart-wrenching happens, but the conflicts make sense for elite level sports. The lead characters communicate well with each other for the most part so it doesn't feel like the conflicts are being dragged on for no reason. The male lead is very charming; he approaches the little things in life with an easy-going, silly attitude. However, it's apparent that he is serious and dependable at the same time. The female lead I think could have done better at balancing being the mature, older partner with being vulnerable or carefree with the ML. Sometimes I felt her dynamic towards him erred too much towards being a parental/guardian figure. Also, I felt the ending was kind of rushed. The drama could have benefitted from a couple more episodes, but that's common in Asia-dramaland. TLDR love, love, love this drama
