The Emperor falls ill and must only eat vegetarian dishes. The Empress commands the entire palace to only eat vegetarian dishes as well. Tired of the bland dishes served to him, Xiao Xiao prepares uncommon dishes for the Emperor, which lands her in the Imperial Kitchen temporarily. Consort Li breaks down and eats meat, which the Emperor also eats. Her fears of being discovered lead her to target Xiao Xiao.
